I finally got my itinerary. Athens, Mykonos, Santorini, Katakolon, Corfu, Venice are the islands I will be visiting. I'll be there 10 days. So, here's some questions - in Mykonos do I want to go see Delos or spend the day on Paradise beach? Santorini - go to the volcano, walk through the city or go to Olympia?

What's so sad is that she looked identical to Reece Witherspoon (I wish I had a picture, it's scary the resemblance) - she was always, always the center of attention. People loved her because she seemed so wholesome. A/B student, honor roll, came from an upper middle class family. And now she's a junkie, living with some dealer in a duplex.

She has never talked about a sober life, no. She's talked about a better life, one with a job, and a car again (she hasn't had a car in over 10 years; she got her 3rd DUI by the time she was 21 and couldn't drive), but the word "sober" has never been part of that life betterment. She continually lies about sobriety. Just today, I got a slurred voicemail talking about how she hasn't drank in months. She was obviously high on something. Hmm, just typing that makes me realize that there's no way in hell I'm going to help her.

Yes, I've known her for 20 years (since middle school). She's always said she wants better, but never made any real progress towards getting better. It started in middle school smoking pot. Daily. Then lots of cocaine and booze throughout her 20's. The last few years, it's been Oxy and Xanax. Even when she was really bad with the coke, she wasn't near as sketchy as she is now. She was more of a party girl, but now she acts more like a junkie. I have a "friend" that has an extremely bad drug problem (pills). She's struggled with addiction for the better part of her life. She lives in Florida, where I grew up, so I don't see or talk to her much. She drops off the face of the earth for long periods of time, but usually calls eventually. This last time I've talked to her, I've realized that I really think she's past the point of return. She's on so many pills that she struggles to string together a sentence. Ugh, the whole place is horrible! They haven't put out a decent wine in years. Their food is awful. The last time I went, I stayed in the Presidential suite - what a mistake! It was hunter green and maroon and hadn't been updated in 3 decades. The Govenor's suite and the other rooms have been remodeled in most of the hotel. I'd suggest driving up to Black Stock, though they do not have a hotel...or going a little further over to the Biltmore. I won't even host golf outtings at chateau elan!

I get my dry shampoo at Three13 (my salon) in Kennesaw. I would imagine that any higher end hair salon would carry it. The spin pins let me create the style below and know that it will be secure the entire night. I will say, though, that if you just roll up your hair and spin in the pins, it doesn't look anything like this! But, even the tighter bun it creates is great (but it won't hold up to the gym)
