Great! What an excellent opportunity to teach your children about tolerance, bullys, etc. Of course, if I was a total bitch on a message board, I probably wouldn't want my real identity known. Each, own, and all that jazz.

Brilliant! I hadn't heard that one before.

Did someone piss in your cherrio's, sport? Or do really just have nothing to add to the conversation? I've gone to the liberty of including a definition of the word discussion for you, as this is the second time in this thread that you've seem to have forgotten that pcom was, in fact, a discussion board. Discussion: an extended communication (often interactive) dealing with some particular topic

Should employees be given time off to...
dumbestgirlintheworld replied to dumbestgirlintheworld's topic in RECENT TOPICS
But the question is...should employers be forced to supply such a space? I read the "Best Companies to work for"...and they all have lactation rooms. And I want to work for them. And they give a lactation room because they want to attract the best talent, not because the government says they have to. -
Breastfeed? http://www.parenting.com/blogs/parenting-post/denene-millner-mybrownbaby/dear-michelle-bachman-et-al-please-shut-and-sit-down The Affordable Care Act signed by Obama on March 13 -- the health care overhaul Republicans are trying to repeal -- requires certain employers to give nursing mothers break time and a place -- not a bathroom -- to express milk. The Labor Department is in charge of enforcement; the law covers a baby's first year.

My bad. I thought that this was a discussion forum.

I took this from another thread: "We got to find him, both of our kids have ADHD and they have seen him since they were in first grade. They are 12 and 16. I dont want no yoyo messing things up. It took forever to get their meds right. If you find out please let me know. They are due for their appointments too. " I do believe in ADD / ADHD, but I do get a bit skeptical when TWO children in the same family have it? Especially so severely that they have to be medicated. Is ADHD a genetic disorder? I thought it was a behavioral disorder? I know that a lot of kids seem to have it - but

Did anyone watch Dr. Phil where the grandmother made the rape claim?

I have no idea - they'll be where the masses enter and exit. I'd suggest buying the $20 flashlight that spins and a $10 bag of cotton candy and using good ole' distraction.

Pharma companies are not allowed to give anything to doctors - not even a PEN. Take a look the next time you're at the docs. You used to sign in with that Viagra pen...just regular ole' bics now. Sales reps are not allowed to spend more than $50 on a meal. You are not allowed to gift doctors. The money that you see listed here is likely for speaking engagements at industry forums/events or for R&D of new drugs or new drug applications. Pharma companies cannot compensate doctors for speaking engagements, however they CAN cover travel and expenses for the event. Here's one of them.

Delta Offers Air Fare + $50 for Dead Kitten
dumbestgirlintheworld replied to mom2dachs's topic in RECENT TOPICS
One of the news stations is interviewing the CEO tonight about Delta's terrible records. He seems pretty flippant from the clips. I can't wait to watch Southwest cut into those record profits that Delta managed last quarter...all while failing miserably at their task. Delta got rich because the rest of us were poor in these financial times - often Delta IS cheaper out of Atlanta to many destinations and offer direct flights. But, I'm confident that this way of business is not sustainable long term. -
I don't know if I would go so far as to say that the animals are mistreated...but, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that elephants were not designed to be in parking lots, train cars or any of the sort. And I don't need PETA to help me come to that conclusion. I can support aquariums and zoo, because they try to recreate the animals natural living conditions and do a great deal in the way of research and study. A circus? They're just for profit. And it's not *just* PETA protesters. I'm just letting you know that as you go to the parking lot, there will be protesters, wi

She's fine...we're FBers.

We don't go to the circus, but I will tell you that there will be a number of protesters there handing out material. Pretty graphic material. I'd certainly advise you to steer clear with a child.

That's why we don't fly them! Talk with your money! -
Why does one have to be retired to be "the millionaire next door"? And GOBLUE - you hit it, it's all about balance. I love life, and while I still have to write a check to the mortgage company, I'll be doing it from a yacht in Greece. It's a tough life.

Is your name Dave G? I'm with you - aside from college. We have planned for both our boys to go through 6 years.

We subscribe to the whole "live like we were dying" thing. I get the sense of accomplishment; but we don't want to waste a minute wondering if we should have done this or that. I can tell you this, when I'm on my death bed, I'm not going to be saying, "damn, I wish I would have paid off my mortgage". ETA: We have trustees that are not our children to liquidate our assets in the event of our death. Life insurance, long term care insurance, that's what it's all for. We won't be leaving a million bucks to the kids, but they'll have some...and both of them get nearly everything they want
-
I do have a question...you can't take it with you, so why the urgency to be so frugal? Now that you do not have a mortgage, will you splurge more?
-
Congratulations on being happy with your choices and achieving your goals. You seem to enjoy saving - and that's the most important part - the enjoyment of life. We simply can't take on the time commitment to do these things.
