I agree, think OJay. However it does not negate the fact that there is no finding of innocence. Only not guilty. I thought that a lot of y'all were for better to let 10 guilty men walk, then to let one Innocent man die. I also think that under the law Mr. Zimmerman is not guilty. I have no opinion on this case other then that. See, I deal in facts. There is very little that I deal with in emotions. From what I have gathered, both had a choices, both acted on their emotions. Both made horriable decisions that night. Both families are forever changed, and not for the better.

The differance is that Travon was 17, and 17yr olds can't legally have guns. Travon didn't have to go up to Zimmerman, and ask what his problem was. He could've told his girl he needed to call the police, because this "creepy ass cracker" is following me. He could've continued home, and let his dad know what was going on. That is assuming that his father was even home. He could've remembered that he was not on his home turf, but had been sent there to get straightened out. Yes, this is a tragedy, but it isn't about race.

I would also add that we need to stop letting "poor" be the excuse. We (not me, but collectively) act as though being poor is a disability. Something that is permeant, something like a low IQ, a deformity that limits ones ability. Yes, this starts at the social services, continues into our schools (can't tell you how many times I have heard a teacher blame things on poverty) to society in general. When will we stop giving excuses to these folks?

The prices to go to any of the "attractions" around here are totally outlandish. It's pretty bad when adding up the cost of fuel it's still less expensive to go to TN, SC, and other places for fun. I did the math, and even with discounts, it is still less expensive to go else where. It's sad really. One other thing, why don't the attractions give a resident discount? That's what they do in Myrtle Beach.

That's when you look at them, and say, "you ain't from around here, are ya?"
