I can get away with $25 for now. But, that's not the point. While I may whine, gripe, I will buy extra, and I will donate it to someone who is in need. Not because I HAVE to, but because I WANT to. This seems to be an issue that has come up in the last 10yrs. I really don't recall this being an issue with my older two. Now, both of them are older one started school in the mid 80's, and the other in the late 80's. IDK. I just feel like when a suggested supply list is released, it should be a request for the extras, not a "required" list.

My oldest spent his fair share in the principals office too. But, it was always because of a reaction to something. Maybe this is up to the teachers. Maybe the teachers need to stand up, and say we will have control, we will not spend money out of our pockets just because it's become expected. DS hates artificial turf. FYI folks (Not directed at you S&DN) your tax dollars do not pay for the athletics. Now, I can't say that for the counties that do have the artificial turf. Although I do understand it to be easier to care for therefore saving money in the long run.

The pencils are three sided. Much easier for the kids to hold. I still have a package that DS didn't get around to using. As far as presharpened, well apparently a sharpener is to distracting. I have mixed feelings on this. I'm going to stop right there. I will wait (unfortunately) till open house to find out what my kids teachers want for him. Before all y'all waste your money on the DNA test do your research. It only finds your mother's DNA information. Also if you are adopted, it will make it harder (but, fun) to find the information. If your family spoke of any thing surrounding the adoption start there. If your parent was adopted as well start with their birth certificate. It may take you a bit longer, but it will be worth it. Well dang fellas, thanks for the synopsis. It's hot, supply is low, demand is high, so prices go up. First thing I learned in 4th grade about capitalism. Cool 2nd thing we learned in 4th grade is when supply is high, but demand is low prices go down. Seems like this is the cycle of life. However, because of certain forces (gooberment) when supply does exceed demand prices will stay high. Strap on folks because we are at a new normal.
