We are doing homecoming!! The middle school sports moved to the high schools. They are called Jr. Patriots, Spartans, Raiders, etc. If the kids that are in the Jr. programs stick with it there is going to be some AWESOME football for years to come. That goes for all of the sports!! Please tell all the parents with 5th graders boys and girls, there is still "middle school" sports. It's just run by the high schools now. :yahoo:

And, that is the problem right there. I know that as a normal person (one that only buys what my family needs) it ticks me off to not be able to get what I might have a coupon for, only to not have it on the shelf. Thanks to the greedy rude people who make me spend more in gas and my time (which is as valuable as anyone else) to go to another store just to get what I need.

Oh, dang.....I have faith it will get better for our boys.
-
Thanks I would love to know what the score was. We didn't go tonight.

Dude they play Alexander next week. Don't put bad juju out there. They played Villa Rica.

Looks Like Lesson On Islam May Be Pulled By GA

I finaly tracked down the women that wrote the story. Found out they are part of "Inspire." Just thought y'all would want to know. For the ones who say this is so "innocent." Matter of fact there was no info on their "professional" credentials. They also stated they were able to bring up grades in one school district. If you can find out which one I would love to know which one it was. Just so you know. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inspire_%28magazine%29 -
It's there. I found it, took me about a min. Hint: enlarge the picture.

Near the trailer park. I think the nearest road that crosses there is Marshall Fuller.

So I was driving down 61 this AM, and there was this guy standing in the driveway of one of the boarded up houses. I wonder what he was up to?

DH would get a piece of Plexiglass, and mount it so that the BBs would bounce back and hit the little POS. I would also just in passing mention that kids who start out shooting at small birds and animals, have a tendency to become Dahumers. I'm so glad we don't have to put up with that kind of crap. The police would be in the hood every weekend.

No, I'm not, but I have long thought about the same thing. It really hit me when my then 9 year old stated that he was to old to go to the daycare any more. He is now 12, and I am a SAHM. At the time I was working full time and so was my DH. I still see a need. Not for me so much as for other parents that are in the same boat.

I am presuming that you are thinking of doing some kind of child care program. I think that there is more of a need for 9-15 year olds. The day cares do say they are for up to 12yo, but at about 9 the kids really start to get to where a daycare center is for babies. So, something that focuses on that tween to early teen age would be great.

To everyone!!! I am optimistic this will be a great year!!

Boy they have you trained.

We are forgetting that Sharia was not the law until the 60's in Saudi Arabia. I also can not seem to find anything about the creators of this material. Which I find kinda strange.

Aren't they all? I love the Fox. I might have to break down, and spend the money (had to clarify that) to go see this.
-
I don't see them as inappropriate. As a matter of fact I find them quite logical, and it shows critical thinking. I appreciate that you finally agree that the "letter" and the lesson was not only about school uniforms, but about the different uniforms that are required by certain countries laws. I'm wondering if this was not the lesson all along.
-
You brought this up, and it is the SAME point many of us have been making. I have a middle schooler. He would not think of a burka or hijab. He would think about his football uniform, or DH in his Army greens. Just a few questions that my older kids would have come with when they were in middle school. And, also the same type of questions my now middle schooler would have come up with.
-
No the lack of critical thinking is those who do do not see how this would lead to culture and religion. Good try Sir.
-
Yeah, no. We could only hope. And, a soldior can ware what ever they want when not on duty. Not so with the Muslim women, and girls. It is very difficult to take religion out of any reference to Muslim. Mainly because it is a religion.
-
I don't see the correlation between the two. If they really wanted a way to compare and wanted to go out of the country with the comparison, then they could've used oh, I don't know how bout Japan, China, or any number of private schools. The fact is not only does the Muslin dress serve a purpose (protecting her from the dust) it is also her culture and religion. She has no other option when she is anywhere other then her home. That is a far cry from school uniforms.

Great day for Football. Go Jr. Patriots, all three won their games!!!
-
No, it had nothing to do with the comparison to school uniforms. Which from the OP, and link is what the assignment was supposed to be about. The fact that apperantly the fictious letter from a Muslim woman has nothing to do with the assignment is how it began to be a lesson on Muslim culture.
