I have talked to many people who lived through the depression. My own mother was one who lived through it. Many of of my family that lived through it have passed on their histories. I help take care of a wonderful lady (she just turned 90) who also tells her story to me. There were rich, middle class, poor. Just like today. What I didn't know was that America wasn't the only country remembering our citizens, and the brave firefighters and police that died that day. We will never forget!!! Our lives will never be the same. In some years from now, this will be regulated to history and our great grandchildren will not understand the meaning. When this happened, my youngest had just turned two, I was still writing in his baby book. I wrote of my feelings that day, my fears for him, and his brother who was in the Marines at the time. Well seems to me that according to some no matter how hard you WORK you have no right to your money. GOD forbid you actually do well, and anonymously give to charity. You and your mom were born on the same day? DH and Stepson #1 have the same birth date. I chose to celebrate, if we are in a perpetual state of mourning then how can one move forward?
