  1. You know as well as I do that it is easier to believe all the PETA propaganda then to look for the truth. I love my leather jacket. I am proudly a carnivore.
  2. Gets lots of sleep now!!! Sorry that's all I got. Congrats.
  3. Found out tonight. The girls are in the 8th, 4th and 1st grade. That is all I know right now. I will find out more tomorrow. Don't know what is needed yet.
  4. Football!!!!! Cool mornings, leaves are starting to turn. Yep fall is on the way. :yahoo:
  5. Yep, I really do hate to cook. Thank God my DH didn't marry me for my homemaking skills.
  6. Yep, I totally get what your saying with the steak. As for eggs, I only like them over medium, runny yoke, egg white completely cooked. I even warn the server I will send it back if not done correctly. Never did develop a taste for lamb, lobster or fuzzy fish.
  7. I understand that. Oh, and I understand about the rare steak thing. I prefer mine medium rare, more rare then medium. If that makes any sense.
  8. I thought he was some kind of chicken hatchery type person. Didn't know he is a cook. My ex-FIL (God rest his soul) was a gourmet cook.
  9. You probably just offended quite a few posters. Now they won't go. Could you be any more snobby?
  10. Yes, they are the greatest! We never have to wait for an unreasonable amount of time, and I have never not been able to get in to see him. The whole nursing staff has always been wonderful for us.
  11. Your, right you do have to renew the hanging tag.
  12. So, the jist is the handicap parking spaces are just suggestions. It's really not for handicap people. (I'm just being a smarta$$)
  13. Welp, then I have no clue why he would do this.
  14. Yea, that's why I added that for veterans tags it is free. There are many that do not know this.
  15. I don't know if you or your DH are veterans, this statement is a good segue to the following. This is for veterans tags. Tags are "free" depending on percentage of disability. Check with the DVM for that information. Check with you vet rep. They can help you navigate the process.
  16. But, you do understand that some people might have the card for someone else who is disabled, and that person is not in the car or with them, and they still use it. Could it be that there have been more of these things taking place? Like I said, we have both. I keep the placard in my car, and could very easily use it w/o my DH with me. I don't, nor would I, but not everybody wouldn't. I am sure he knows that not all disabilities are obvious. How many threads/vents have we had about that subject?
  17. This is from my friend's FB status. She just came back to me, and said that yes this is the house. She said there were 3 girls and their dad, but every one was OK.
  18. The fire my friend saw was on the front porch.
  19. Check with the DMV there is whole list of which handicap folks get a placard, and which ones get plates. My DH had a placard up until this year when the VA said he is 100% disabled. Now he has the DV tags. We could have them on both cars, but chose to only put them on his. He doesn't ride in or drive my truck very often so there was no need to buy the extra set. We still have the placard for when he is with me in my truck. Makes sense that the officer asked about who was in the car that was handicap. Wonder if he was trying to determine if you could walk to the stadium, because of limited
  20. If it is the house that a friend of mine saw about 2 hours ago, there are 3 children and their dad who live there. As far as I know they are all out. But, as of an hour ago the house was still on fire.
  21. My bad, I didn't look up the data. I knew it was bad, and the people were stupid.
  22. There is no comparsion to Katrina. Katrina was a cat 5 the whole time. Irene started weakening, what 2 days ago? Also the difference in water temperature is a factor. The gulf is all warm water. Katrina stayed in warm water, and was able to maintain her eye as well as her strength. Irene on the other hand hit the cooler waters, and the eye collapsed. She also never got stronger after words. The only reason that it could be worse is because there are many, many, many more people on the East coast then on the gulf coast. I also hope that some of these folks would use common sense, and have
  23. If the senior you are taking care of is a veteran, make sure to check with a VET REP. DO NOT USE THE BINDER AND BINDER GUYS. YOU DO NOT NEED A LAWYER TO GET YOUR BENEFITS. This is who you need to contact for Paulding County. http://sdvs.georgia.gov/portal/site/SDVS/menuitem.e429305ad2099d1d6eff626ed03036a0/?vgnextoid=7b677c5c038f7210VgnVCM100000bf01020aRCRD&vgnextchannel=1b50f0d1ca7f7210VgnVCM100000bf01020aRCRD Most of the Veterans organizations have a vet rep. There is no charge for these services.
