Only true apnea is dangerous, and even the the odds of life threatening heart issues are below 1%. For every thousand people with apnea, there is one Reggie White. Snoring merely causes dry throat and lower sleep efficiency. So I sleep 9 hours instead of 7. Big whoop. I like dreaming anyway.

They told me my "sleep efficiency" was 65% and should be 85% minimum; but that I didn't have apnea. The MD wrote a scrip for a sleeping pill. I didn't bother filling it - I would rather just snore. Doesn't bother me, and whoever is with me is welcome to sleep in another room.

How does it happen? It's called "leaving your child in the care of some other human being". You hope for the best when you do that; but apparently it's a crapshoot.

I just checked to be sure I was thinking of the right vehicle - the Scion XB weighs less than a Corvette and failed the side impact test. I also checked and your Jeep Liberty weighs 33% more than the Scion (2,500 vs 4000). And your Liberty has a side impact rating of 5 of 5. Your car is 100x better than a Scion. And on a related note- I travel every week and Avis puts me in the Liberty now and then and it's a very solid feeling vehicle. I would have no qualms about putting my family in one.

You do know you can leave the South, right? Instead of toothless goobers and dollywood, you could have Broadway, NY Museum of Art, Bronx Zoo, Chinatown, NY Museum of Natural History, Adirondack Mountains, Statue of Liberty, and 10,000 other things to do for every 1 thing you can find to do in Atlanta. Sacrifice size for economy. Those would crush like a tin can in a major accident. My Avalanche is getting 22 mpg on the highway, and has never broken down even once. Do I wish it got 35, sure. But in an accident between an Avalanche and a Focus, which guy do you think walks away? Also, what about a Toyota Tundra. I bet those could go 500,000 miles or more. Or a Volvo - elephants can stand on those. A million years ago I had a Volvo 240GL and put 250k miles on it and it got decent mileage and you couldn't hurt it in an accident. Key word being "little".
