Illinois Makes 6th State to Approve Civil Unions for Gays
Coppertop's Pop replied to zoocrew's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Was Sodom and Gomorrah a myth? In my opinion, gay marriage or civil unions should not be recognized. -
Folks are looking past the SEC Championship game a little too quick. The Ol' Ball Coach might just surprise a few Auburn fans.

I'm surprised "that" kind of store would come to Hiram. I suspect the elected officials aren't too happy about it, but I'm not sure what they could do to stop it. It's disgusting to me and won't be going there. Next thing you know, we'll have a Boomers style nightclub. Sick.

Been married 20 years. 1st for both of us. The number-one status symbol you can acquire in our society is not a fancy car, a yacht, an airplane or a multi-million dollar mansion. That number-one status symbol is a long-term marriage. You can't win one. You can't buy one. There's only one way to get one ... and that is to work hard for decades. It's been difficult at times, but we've managed to ride out many of life's storms.

Ticketmaster will start selling them tomorrow at 10:00 and according to the web site, the cheapest seats are $25 and go up. I suspect the tickets will sell out fast. On an event this big, I wouldn't think there would be any discounts offered. This is like the Superbowl of Wrestling, the main event. Folks from all over the U.S.A will be there. I still miss Dusty Rhodes, Abdullah the Butcher and the old guys like that.

http://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20101110006422/en/WrestleMania%C2%AE-XXVII-Tickets-Sale-Saturday The kids have been bugging me for weeks about being ready to buy tickets. Some of the high dollar seats are $850, but I can't see me spending that much. In any case, we're getting ready!

I stayed up and watched the entire game and wound up hitting the snooze button three times today. It was worth it though. Congrats to the Falcons!

I also have a friend that puts deer meat in his chili and cooks it slow in a crock pot. Very tasty. I also had a bowl of Waffle House chili one day last week. It was pretty good too.

Lockheed is hiring A LOT of computer technicians, quality control, etc, but I know there are a few EMT's and Firemen on the board who might just be interested in applying for the following FireFighter/inspector position. https://sjobs.brassring.com/1033/ASP/TG/cim_jobdetail.asp?Agent=1&jobid=190612&PartnerId=25037&SiteId=5010 Req ID 182661BR Industry Job Title Firefighter/Inspector Standard Job Code/Title RM439H:Firefighter/Inspector Required skills Airport Firefighter, Firefighter I & ll and Fire Inspector ll Desired skills Paramedic or EMT Specific J

Doug did a great job on my bathroom remodel. I highly recommend Sandershandyman!

Poor thing had to work at the Library yesterday. Part of his "community service". And today he's at the Chinese Restaurant trying to raise money for his fine.

Since it was a unanimous decision to fire her, I'm sure there is a lot more to the story than what is being discussed here. I still don't see how she can get fired and Mr. Turner won't be. Seems like a double standard to me.

Paulding County beat Osborne 31-0.

What do you think of Aimee Michael?
Coppertop's Pop replied to dumbestgirlintheworld's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I'd like to see her get probation and community service. -
Well my Paulding County Patriots lost 10-0 to Douglas Co. Bummer.
-
I've had good experiences at Paulding. Nothing major, just stitches, xrays, etc. I will not go back to Cobb General though. They are very slow and the staff wasn't particularly friendly. The ER at Cobb was packed with babies with sniffles.

I got zapped too. Had to do a system restore and run the virus scan. My computer seems really slow now.

Please call all your peeps and drop by the Chinese Restaurant beside Huddle House and please tip the red headed waiter today and be sure to tell him his daddy ain't paying his fine. You'd think I'd let him do yard work or extra chores because trying to save money as a teen is pretty difficult, but no matter what, his mom and I won't pay his fine. Did I mention he may have to sell some of his junk on ebay or craigslist, cause I won't be paying his fine? Arrrrrggh
-
How can you increase funding for all the stuff you mentioned and still not raise taxes? The math is confusing, but please explain.
-
I suppose I'm paying for stuff I did, but got away with when I was a teen. Although I did get busted for drag racing in Mableton one night by the Cobb County Police. Life can be stressful at times. If the road was always flat, the trip would be easy, that's why God made hills and valleys and curves and even a few bumps in the road. This little bump in the road will be long gone soon, but the lesson learned will hopefully last a lifetime. I suppose a few bumps in the road makes the trip a lot more memorable.

I voted the other day and I voted NO on the splost and I voted for Will Avery and Roy. The other races didn't seem like they got much attention.

While we were in court, some other teen got socked with fines and restitution totaling over $17,000. I have no clue what that kid did, but you could tell his mama was furious, embarrassed and disgusted. So, I am happy that my son's case will get totally dismissed after 6 months, but it does make you wonder how bad things could've been had we not had a lawyer to work things out ahead of time.
-
If you've ever had a teenaged son get locked up (carrying concealed weapon), you know how stressful the judicial system can be. The court system is slow as Christmas. After nearly a year, He wound up getting pretrial which means charges reduced to a misdemeanor, a fine, community service and probation rather than jail time. After 6 months, all will be dismissed. Sort of like a mulligan for golfers. A do-over, so to speak. That's excellent news considering Judge Osborne could have thrown the book at him. I'm still confused as to why teens do stupid things thinking it's cute or trying to sh

Will, I voted for ya, but honestly, I think the national democrats (Obama, Pelosi, Reid, etc) have hurt your chances of winning.
