  1. I'm glad they are putting up a new Taco Bell closer to me. Taco Bell Fire Sauce is the best.
  2. Congrats to the PCHS Band. My son was in the PCHS marching band for all 4 years of high school. He's in college now, but I sure miss hanging around the ball park. Also, a big shout out goes to all the band parents who work the grill, work in the pit, chaperone on the bus, wash the uniforms, lead the boosters and conduct countless fundraisers and simply be there for whatever needs to get done. The Band program is truly a team effort and each and every parent who spends time there will agree that it is a lot of work, but seeing your kid perform the halftime show is worth it all.
  3. Doug Sanders did a great job remodeling our house in Dallas. The Kitchen looks GREAT and the jacuzzi bathtup is AWESOME. I highly recommend him. www.sandershandyman.net Captain Rhett Butler
  4. Lockheed Martin has several jobs opened up at the Marietta manufacturing plant. Go to the Lockheed Martin web site and do a job search and these results come up. Most of them look to be in computers and engineering, but there are a couple of administrative positions, heavy equipment mechanic, etc. Good luck in your job search. http://www.lockheedmartinjobs.com/searchhome.aspx These jobs matched the criteria specified for: MARIETTA 1. N1414:Administrative Assistant Spec (178632BR) 2. E1084:Applications Analyst Stf (179341BR) 3. N1414:Administrative Assistant Spec (17
  5. If the victim was another teenager, odds are the charges could get reduced or dismissed, but because of the media attention and the victim's age, the prosecutor is going to make an example out of the 11 year old. The courts should always come down hard on those who abuse the elderly. Race shouldn't be a factor.
  6. Sooner or later, Israel will take care of the muslim problem in the middle east. I just hope they don't take too long to do it.
  7. Pastor Terry Jones, of the Dove World Outreach Center in Gainesville, Fla., says he will burn copies of the Quran on September 11th to "... send a clear message to the radical element of Islam. We will no longer be controlled and dominated by their fears and threats." Interesting that the Pentagon is concerned about inciting muslims. Wonder why no one cares if Bibles are burned? Will our government try to stop Pastor Jones from his constitutionally protected free speech? It seems like they're going to try to stop him. http://online.wsj.com/article/SB100014240527487037135045754755007
  8. Whatever you do, don't call the Paulding County Sheriff's office. They will take your report, act all concerned, and then somehow, your neighbor will find out who called and reported them. In the end, it's simply better to mind your own business. I have told my family to never ever talk to the police.
  9. My son just switched from tumpet to horn, and he wants me to sell his trumpet for him. i got one that i could sell u for 125. its a yahama. only one minor dent. all it needs is to have valve oil & greese( 5 buks). i/m if u wanna talk about it
  10. Dude, a good coach can take an average player and teach them and motivate them and have an above-average result. If a kid gives his 100% best effort, even if they lose the game, they are winners. A good coach will teach leadership both on and off the field. My oldest is very tall and skinny and can run like the wind. My youngest son is bigger, thicker, stronger but much slower when running. Some plays require speed (pass plays, sweeps, punt coverage, etc.), other plays you need the size and strength and toughness to pound the ball right up the middle (goal line and short yardage). It'
  11. Wow. That's excellent news for the Wolfpack.
  12. Ouch. I know the athletic director is just awful, but you would've though the new head coach just may be able to help the Patriots turn things around. Not much to cheer about if your a Patriots fan.
  13. I am particularly interested to see if the Paulding County Patriots will win tonight. They are playing at home vs. East Paulding. Can someone post the score? I'm thinking there just might be an upset.
  14. Stick with soft foods until you get them pulled. Scrambled eggs, applesauce, soups, etc. A T-Bone steak is definatley off the menu until you get the teeth fixed. When I had my wisdom teeth out, I couldn't talk for about three days and my mouth was sore for a solid week.
  15. Do you think our CIA has spies in these places to see what sort of stuff is going on? It makes you wonder. I think radical islam is a threat to mainstream America. Maybe Uncle Sam is keeping an eye on those professing to be muslims.
  16. Under leadership of the republicans, Our state and local taxes as well as school taxes have gone through the roof. Justify this or justify that, blah blah blah. We're being taxed out the wazoo and I'm starting to get tired of it.
  17. I miss grandpa Jones singing about that Good Ol' Mountan Dew. An of course, I miss Reverend Grady Nutt and his humor.
  18. Did the police ever determine what caused the crash? High Speed? Texting? etc.
  19. Who was the driver of the other car?
  20. Ford Falcon. Mid 60's with a manual 3speed on the column. It even had one little speaker in the dash for the AM radio.
  21. Todd is more qualified than his opponent. Comparing apples to apples, Todd is the better choice. I hate to see folks sling mud like Reagan Republican. His mud slinging shows desparation and a lack of character. When you compare qualifications and experience, Todd is the better choice.
  22. Well if Beverly's not against it, she must be for it. Hmmm
  23. Todd is a great guy and a great candidate and I hope Todd wins in District 2. I don't know either of the candidates in the other runoff.
