  1. That's exactly what I was going to post!
  2. This is one of the clips from the documentary I was talking about. I could only find 7 of the 8. This one will give you a glimpse of Fred, himself. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8F8B5E_fBPc
  3. I just looked at their "picket schedule" on the website. One thing I noticed is that they only schedule 30-45 minutes at any one location to "protest". Interesting.... The stories are heartbreaking.
  4. I tend to agree. These people are masters of using the media to present their message (even though most have opposing views.) I watched a documentary on the cult where the host of the show lived with them on a daily basis for a matter of months. It was one of the most captivating shows I had ever seen. At the end, he talked about how he had grown to love them, after spending time with them and getting to know them outside of the hatred they spew. He also told how it would be VERY hard for someone who was easily persuaded to follow them after the "brainwashing" that goes on in the chu
  5. Have a GREAT trip. Can't wait to see the pics!
  6. Such a funny story! We have a few owls who live in the woods around our house. My 9 year old loves it! One night, after dark, my husband came inside and told us to sneak onto the back deck. The owl had landed on the post for the bird feeder! We crept onto the screened porch, and there he sat! We watched him in silence, barely whispering our awe to each other. It was a dark night and hard to see, but it was amazing. After about half an hour, I just had to see him better. I crept inside and turned on the outside light, despite the protests from my husband and child, "Don't
  7. I enjoy the "healthy" debate that often takes place on Pcom. There are a few whom I enjoy debating, more than others. I appreciate the intelligence, insight, and (sometimes) opposing points of view that I have encountered in discussions with MCMM (you'll always be GoBlue! to me! ) and mrnn. And I miss TBAR on the board. These men challenge me to think outside the box!
  8. I don't use. I don't want my children to use it. My biggest concern about the legalization of it is the amount of REGULATION it would require, just as I've discussed before.
  9. Oh, yes there is. I might break a nail!
  10. We were on our way to the ballfield Saturday (did I mention that the South Paulding Spartans won the JV County Championship?!) and we saw you performing on the lawn. Little E got so excited! "There's Joe!" he said. I wish we had time to stop and say hi!
  11. This sounds like a lot of fun for you guys! Just today, my son tossed me a ball as he was asking me if I played softball when I was younger. I replied that I had not. His response? "Oh, did they not have softball when you were a kid?"
  12. This has been unbelievable to watch as it unfolds. I feel for those stranded for business or personal reasons. And what a way to ruin a vacation (for some, the trip of a lifetime!) I heard this morning that Britain is using naval ships to transport residents who are stranded in other parts of Europe back home. I'm happy for you and MrsSurepip!
  13. My 16 year old got his license in December. He took the course at a driving school, but we still had to take the certificate from the course and the pages for each driving session with us (they didn't have to be notarized, though.) We also had to have: his learner's permit, valid tag on the vehicle used for the driving exam, proof of valid insurance on the same vehicle, SS card, certificate of attendance from his school, and the certificate from the drug & alcohol awareness class they took at school. (I can't find the list I made at the time, so I'm going on memory, but I think that
  14. I say the medicine cabinet. 1. It would be great to have the extra storage. You can NEVER have enough! 2. As a woman, I like to be able to see myself anywhere I am in the bathroom when in front of the counter/sink. It may sound silly, but having to stand in one certain spot to see myself in a framed mirror would be a hassle (yeah, I know I'm high maintenance!)
  15. We've seen some GREAT baseball this week! There's one more game tonight, and the championship is tomorrow. GO SOUTH!
  16. Great! Now there's a guy sitting under the pavilion at White Oak Park with no pants on!!! Kinda funny to hear the description: Black male White hat Blue shirt NO PANTS! Subject is naked from the waist down What is this world coming to?!?!
  17. This man WAS in the road, according to the deputy when he made the initial stop.
  18. I'm listening to the scanner at work. A few minutes ago, a deputy made a traffic stop.....on a lawnmower! He just advised....the driver's license is suspended, AND he's drunk. Dude! Not a good idea!
  19. Yo, check out that swagger Walkin’ like Mick Jagger Shakin’ that fanny Oh! It’s just my granny She’s cool! Whoa.... She’s cool! Whoa....
  20. I use this for all my stains when doing the laundry. It's a bar soap - you'll find it on the laundry aisle at the grocery store. Not only does it take out ANY stain, but it's great for treating poison ivy! My son got it on Easter, and we used this soap on it, and it was gone in 2 days! Fels-Naptha ETA: It's only about $1 per bar!
  21. Just found this link: Reed: 'We Will Sue Freaknik Organizers'
  22. I didn't know she was working there! We go there every now and again (since it's close.) I'll have to request her next time!
  23. There was a call earlier on the scanner about a fire on Braswell Mountain. I'm assuming that's where it is coming from.
