  1. ::raisinghandandjumpingupanddown:: I know, I know, I know!!!
  2. South Paulding Baseball will be washing cars this Saturday (9/18/10) at the Autozone on Ridge Road. Cost is only $10! We'll begin at 9:00am. Please come let us clean your car, and support SPARTAN BASEBALL!!!
  3. We were in our office earlier, when the front door opened, and we heard, "Hello!" A Dallas police officer was in the lobby. She had noticed that our back door was cracked (we had opened it for our installers to get into the warehouse, rather than opening our dock door like we normally do.) She said it looked unusual, and she just wanted to stop in to check on us. Thank you so much! I love that the police are patrolling and notice when things are out of place. I especially love that she stopped in to make sure we were okay!
  4. I am confused, too. Mine did go down - but a very small percentage. However, my home value has decreased drastically. How is it figured?
  5. MOST people wouldn't! And to be honest (please don't be offended,) you're not very photogenic. You look much better in person (even without make-up!)
  6. It was fun! Let's do it again - when more people can come, and when you aren't "summoned away"!
  7. Check out my siggy!
  8. I was surprised by the editing, too. I can't remember if it was the first or second day, but we spent probably 3 hours filming the crowd reacting to a gunshot. That entire scene never made it in. My husband & I laughed about the closeup scene with Sissy Spacek. Horsepowerchik and I were pulled to stand beside her. I thought for sure that at least my shoulder would be in the scene. I could see horsepowerchik, but they superimposed other people into the scene. I told my husband that I must have looked REALLY ugly, because they put a different shoulder completely in front of me!
  9. My husband and I JUST walked in the door from seeing it! I really liked the movie. I thought it was a good story, and the actors did a fantastic job. I didn't get to see myself in it (although my husband said when we get the DVD, we can probably pause the scenes to see) but it was good anyway. It's playing right now in Acworth, Kennesaw, and Douglasville at the mall. The scenes of Pickett's Mill are really good, and if you've spent any time out on the trails, you'll enjoy the scenery. It was a nice blend of drama and comedy and has a touching plot. I recommend it!
  10. PM Caped Crusader here on the board. He can give you some great options!!!
  11. I saw it, too, but I wasn't going to ask!
  12. I have to say, there's no love, affection, attention, etc. that I will need to "alter" as my child changes ages. At 3, 10, 16, or 25, the love and affection I show him is ALWAYS appropriate.
  13. The intial call came in as a four car MVA with injuries. First officer on scene stated SEVEN cars involved. Moderate damage. They are assessing injuries.
  14. Reading this thread, here are my thoughts (for whoever happens to care! ) I know what I believe about almost every issue, and more importantly, WHY I believe it. (Some people think that makes me closed-minded. That's their opinion.) I truly believe that all people are equal. I do not, however, LIKE all people. My dislikes have never been because of another's race, religion, culture, station in life, etc. If I don't like someone, it's because their ACTIONS are offensive to me in some way. And that is based on MY beliefs. I tend to disagree with Go Blue in this instance. I
  15. It is BEAUTIFUL! We took a 3 mile walk, and enjoyed the weather so much!
  16. In case anyone is interested in going to the casting call tomorrow.....it will be at the ACWORTH Presbyterian Church. Time is 12:15 - 2:00 pm. Bill Marinella (who is in charge of the extras casting) said do NOT arrive early, per the pastor's request. They will end church at 12, and don't want to take anyone until after 12:15. Just FYI - I was at the casting call today in Hiram. I arrived a few minutes before 12pm, waited in line, and finished about 1:15. I called a friend who had wanted to come, but was afraid she was too late. I told her to come on, that they would still take her in
  17. HALE AUTOMOTIVE IS AWESOME!!!
  18. Not only do they have great clothes and bargains, they are really nice people! We love having them as neighbors!!!
  19. When I came through, I saw a woman and 2 older children on the side of the road. The car involved was there, and I am assuming that this woman was the driver. She was obviously distraught. The car that hit the girl was headed southbound - before the high school. I don't think it was a student driver involved. The news is reporting the child darted into traffic in front of the car. No charges will be filed. Still scary for ALL involved!
  20. Former Alaskan Senator Ted Stevens was on a small plane that crashed in a remote area of Alaska sometime Monday evening. Also on board was former NASA Administrator Sean O'Keefe. They were believed to be traveling with their sons, along with 4 or 5 others. Latest reports state that Stevens has been killed in the crash. O'Keefe and his son are among the four survivors.
  21. Mine was a 1972 Toyota Corolla DELUXE! It was faded orange (like in the video, but the one here runs better!) It had 4 doors, and no back window on the passenger side. The transmission shook, and I could see the ground through the gear shift. My mom paid $350 for it in 1987 (when I was 17) and she got ripped off! My friends & I called her, "The Pumpkin". We would take it anywhere, because we weren't afraid to mess it up! Good times, good times! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jK7NiLWkJ_U
