  1. I don't go the extra distance that Surepip does....never really thought to actually. I buy the prepackaged ones at Kroger, including the spices. I only buy the flat cut. The point cut is cheaper but you're buying a lot more fat and lesser quality of meat, in my opinion. I trim the excess fat and brown the brisket in a really hot pan or a on a really hot grill until it's got a nice crust on the outside. Then into the crock pot it goes with about 1/4-1/2c of water and the spices for about 5-6 hours. If I have it, I'll add more pickling spices. Somewhere around an hour or so before it's done I'll
  2. I was diagnosed with it nearly 11 years ago. With the exception of the time I was diagnosed, I have had little issues other than a mild purple rash on my knuckles. Now the rash is taking over my hands, arms, shoulders, neck, face and scalp. It has started itching 24/7 regardless of anything I put on it, including the greasy prescription steroid ointment. Now it's causing a plaque like crust on my ears, left temple and brow causing the brow to disappear. I would like to talk to anyone who has this disease. I have the clinical version, it hasn't caused any life altering muscular issues in

  4. AMEN!!! If you don't agree, look at how your kid cares for an expensive item you bought them and how they handle a fair priced item they bought.
  5. Mine has taken part in the HOPE and I for one am grateful it was available! Am I grateful I will have to pay 10%, YES MA'AM!! People would be lighting up P.com if they saved 90% on their groceries, cars, homes, or utilities. Why in heavens name would ANYONE not feel the same about saving 90% on higher education?! Why do you think people in other states move here their child's Sr yr? Or homeschooled kids go to public school their Sr yr? Because their parents are grateful to only be responsible for 10%. If your child scores a 3.7 or higher GPA they get 100% and would deserve it! I think th
  6. Angels at work! I get a lump in my throat every time I watch this My link
  7. Halfoffdepot.com has discount offers for Loca Luna sometimes....worth checking out! There are several good discounts on there.
  8. Is there a Carroll County Chapter? If not, I may be interested in starting one....depends on the commitment level. I don't have a lot of free time. Thanks!
  9. Yea, the Ridge/Brooke thing is getting waaaayyy outa hand. Makes me a little to watch!
  10. If I added it correctly, this is what I got.....my mom would buy these, rip the ball off and away we go! ETA....I gotta figure out how to add all the junk you guys do =(
  11. I try to catch it. I missed that episode too. I did see a partial scene where Amber acted as though Bill had given her the house he bought. She was on the balcony of the house, not the patio, then she walked back in, flopped down in a chair and said I finally have what I deserve all thanks to Diamond Bill Spencer and his grandchild. That's pretty much the extent of all I got.
  12. I am just reading this for the first time...I live near the area you are describing!! Whatever happened? Was he a peeping tom, which houses had issues with him? Strange people walk up and down our streets quite often, its disturbing at times.
  13. Ummm, APOLOGIZE?! They thought they had every right to play with the stuff and be the obnoxious a$$e$ they were.... "it's a free country" kinda thing! If my hubby hadn't been there I probably would've woken up behind bars this morning!
  14. But we also didn't have air conditioning, carpeted floors, curtains, computers, the internet, smartboards, or tv's in every room. We had to suffer through fresh air with open windows, ceiling fans, we learned the dewey decimal system, we actually had to look up info in encyclopedia's and dictionary's, we all ate the same menu and only had white milk, tv's and films were kept in the library for teacher check out on the rare occasion that we got to watch an educational film on a subject we were studying, we had to go outside for our PE which consisted of us lining up in rows to do calisthenics f
  15. I'd like to say THANK YOU for disciplining your child in a public place. That irritates me more than anything! If you're buying groceries or eating at a restaurant and your kid(s) start screaming, pitching a fit, throwing things or running around....stop them or remove them, don't ignore them! They certainly are not going to stop on their own. One time during a sermon our minister stopped mid-sentence and asked a woman to take her child to the nursery because he was screaming and she wasn't doing anything about it other than bouncing him on her knee. He also asked, while he was on a roll, fo
  16. Monkeytail, I don't see a problem with it either. Actually, I think it worked out better since CRCT's and the writing tests were just around the corner. One of my DD's struggles and the more time in the classroom she gets, the better. In fact, I wouldn't mind going back to the "old school" calendar like when I was a kid...Sept-June, 3 days for Thanksgiving, a week for spring break and an occasional teacher workday. That would allow for more consecutive instructional time. If people need all these breaks for vacations or to ward off burn out then just go to a year round schedule. Even thou
  17. We had some to bloom this weekend. They're in a vase next to my computer. I LOVE it when they bloom and I see cardinals....let's me know spring isn't too far behind!
  18. My daughter is 24. I'll have to ask her if she knew him. Sorry for your loss, sounds like a nice young man.
  19. I've seen this on fb this morning. It seems a lot of my daughter's friends knew him. Did he go to PCHS around 04? Always heartbreaking to hear of the loss of such a young soul. Prayers going out for his family.
  20. That very same thing happened to my sis and BIL when she was pregnant. It didn't break the glass but that bird exploded. The smell was horrible and lasted for what seemed like forever!!! She couldn't ride in it anymore....
  21. Until you realize you are the creator of your own misery you will never be truly happy. For it is how you react to any given situation that brings you happiness....unknown The sooner he realizes this fact, the better suited he will be to handle his crisis. I hope he finds the peace it sounds that he desperately needs.
  22. A friend was working at a womans home when she came outside with her little dog. From nowhere, with no verbal warning, a hawk swooped down, nailed her dog and was gone with it. He said it was sad that all they could do was watch it fly away with her dog. She was hysterical once she realized what was going on. We've seen 'em pick up bunnies and capture birds in flight here at our place. Protect your baby!
  23. There's no sidewalks b/c there's NO shoulder for them to walk on. I can't imagine walking on that tiny strip wondering about the cars around you or slipping down the embankment. Shame on the BOE making these kids walk to school! You're right, 99% of the SO's leave as soon as the busses are gone. There are WAY too many inexperienced drivers left in that parking lot b/c they were held up to let the busses out. Same with their presence in the a.m....especially if it's raining. Too many trying to turn left into the school. Some of the parents and teens can't (or won't) obey the act the SO is tel
