My mom called and said a SO was in front of her house, spot light shining bright on another car. While we were on the phone a roll off wrecker showed up and is loading it. She lives on a one street cul de sac and the car wasn't there before dark. There has been a lot of break in's in her area and she is scared. I looked in the forum and didn't see anything. I can't access the archives w/o paying. Has anyone heard anything about this? It's in Hartfield Estates off of Scoggins.

We used this concept at our 25th anniversary party. When we sent out invitations we added a note that asked each of them to take $5 or more and do something nice for a stranger (pay it forward). They were told to be prepared to share their experience at the party. I was amazed at how many people didn't have a wonderful experience doing this. So many strangers were guarded and distrusting of the money. The party goers explained what they were doing and why but it didn't matter. One person was even told off by a mom in the store. My sister's in law believe their mother didn't fully disclose every step in some of her recipes she shared with them....just so her's would always be her's! That sounds like something she would've done

I'm like you, I miss my great grandmother's vegetable soup! Mine had the silver queen corn cut off the cob, okra, canned tomatoes and juice from the summer, green lima's, small chunks of potoato's, and she always insisted on just a few elbow pasta pieces, salt & pepper to taste. That was it....I've tried to recreate it but it's never the same. She must have put that special "Granny" spin on it....sure do miss that woman!

We got a game online that's called Chicken Foot. It's too late to get it before the weekend but it's really fun...it's a domino game. The kids love playing! They also play a game my SIL made up. It makes them use their logic while strengthening their vocabulary skills....they think it's just a fun game!! FOOLED THEM! ETA....I forgot about spoons! That's a good and crazy card game.

What is it with high school boys and shorts?!?! I see them waiting at buss stops, in winter weather temps, wearing shorts! I'm appalled at the kids waiting in the car rider lane w/short sleeves and no coat...wth?!? Mine are dressed like they live in Alaska

My mom and I drove over to the Marietta store just bc the curiosity of the commercials got the better of us. DON'T waste your time & gas. You can get MUCH better buys on the same to better quality at Ross/Marshall's & TJ MAXX.

Yes they recommend a place that's $229 per night, too rich for my blood! I'm looking for $150 or less. She's going to a place on Broadway. I've looked at the Chelsea Star (I think) and Astor on the Park....it's across Central Park from Broadway.
