Well I got the foundation drains cleared Thursday night and they had a lot of water backed up in them. This made a huge difference and with the rains Friday as I could see tons of water draining out into the drain trenches. Then I got up early yesterday and filled them in with rock (10 bags backyard, 5 bags front) this gives the water a place to fill and then they both run to my grass. It was unreal how much water was flowing threw them yesterday with the rain after I finished. I think the laws would need to be carefully written.. I agree the extreme skier on the 15000 foot slope should be some what responsible. But the eagle scout is not off the trail by much. The true question is where do you draw the line.... It's the extreme that can fall in the gray area...

I think this is a slippery slope we are going down. It could back fire all over the place. What about fireman and the fire at your house... will you now pay for them to respond? The cop to respond? It could get ugly...

It was still closed at about 3:30 and yes it stinks that is is still closed. I have had to go that way yesterday and today and had to detour back to 278... Business 6 has part of it closed still also.

I was wondering if Paulding County would be providing some type of debris removal like the other counties that are effected. Kind of looks like you want the county to provide you with a debris removal... not you paying for it... Then you make the note (complain) about you having to do it with your own trailer.... Yea I need a dehumidifier also, Smell is just about gone... But it can't hurt to run one to be sure it is really dry.

If it is running around the house like you say and drains out then it sounds like you are good as far as the drain pipe. Not sure what might be causing your seepage then. Also check that the soil around your house slopes away also. Good luck.

Check your foundation drains..... That was my problem and I had a lot of water in my basement. These are black 3" round and run around your house at the base of your foundation. This takes the water way from the house and lets it drain in the yard. My ends were blocked and once I opened them up a ton of water came out. I have to put some rock down and divert them way from the house more. Got to ask since I have not heard of the schools being flooded. If they are hey no school until they get it fixed etc. But why is school canceled for today and tomorrow? Just wondering.... roads for the most part will be the same on Monday.

So the stuff would sit and sit and sit..

It's the only hours to work on this side of town. 06.30am - 3pm It stinks getting up so early sometimes, but I beat a lot of traffic in the morning and afternoon.
