Does that work on political calls?
-
Had a call yesterday evening. The caller ID said Paulding Com. I almost answered it but was in the middle of something so I let the machine get it. It was one of those 'Vote for anyone and everyone with a 'D" after their name no matter who they are" messages. I was wondering if anyone else got a call like this?

free food Paulding Democrats to rally on Saturday at pcom office
markdavd replied to gpatt0n's topic in Fastread page
Only 50? Interesting. With the POTENTIAL reach P.Com should have considering it how long it's been around, getting only 50 dems in a county with the population of Paulding (even with the promise of free food) is surprisingly light. You said GD was negative. I say he was a realist. -
Good idea, except as I understand it, those pumpkins aren't the best for cooking. They're bred to be jack-o-lanterns. Unless someone is an expert at turning these kinds of pumpkins into pie, there will only be disappointment at the end of the day. In the past, excess pumpkins have been fed to livestock.

Who will pay the tens of millions of dollars (or more) that are required so satisfy the FDA and other government agency requirements to get this drug approved for human use? There will probably be a different study and process required for each virus. Who wants to volunteer to be a test subject?

The report I read was obviously wrong. I tried finding it but it seems to have been removed. The rest I commented on was based on the her personal writings.

This is something we can agree on. I read the article SHE originally wrote and complained of being put alone in a small room at the airport for 7 hours and having random people come in and 'bark' questions at her. When they finally decided to move her, she had an escort of 4 (I think) police cars with lights and sirens going. Basically she was treated worse than a criminal. Why did it take 7 hours before deciding she needed to be quarantined in a hospital. Where you're wrong is the tent is not outside the hospital. It's an isolation tent set up in one of the rooms to provide a positive

Breaking News, Patient In New York Tests Positive for Ebola
markdavd replied to NewsJunky's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I've read people saying 21 days there and an additional 21 days here. All it will do is discourage doctors from all over the world from going to help in countries hit by Ebola. Whether that's a good thing or not I'll leave up to everyone to decide. -
Until such time as ISIS sees the attacks aren't having the effect they want, then they'll step up their attacks. I wonder how many 'mentally ill' people have to be involved in an attack before it reaches the level of terrorism in the average liberal mind.

Breaking News, Patient In New York Tests Positive for Ebola

I guess New York and New Jersey have it figured out. Maybe the anti-quarantine people here need to have a firm discussion with the leaders in NY and NJ and explain to them the errors they're making. New York, New Jersey Set Up Mandatory Quarantine Requirement Amid Ebola Threat -
Deal Had No Idea He Sold His Business To Delinquent GA Tax Payers
markdavd replied to Eddie Bennett's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Actually, anyone who has ever sold anything EVER should have made sure to collect and report sales and use tax. The company isn't accused of avoiding INCOME taxes, their sales over a 5 year period were audited and the state decided the Texas based company should have been collecting and reporting Georgia sales taxes. The company has been appealing this decision. -
The libs here have spun themselves dizzy to make it clear this was not an act of terror. They need to go talk with the NYPD. Bratton: Hatchet Attack on Cops Was a Lone Wolf "Act of Terror"

Deal Had No Idea He Sold His Business To Delinquent GA Tax Payers
markdavd replied to Eddie Bennett's topic in RECENT TOPICS
A quick internet search shows 5 years of the companies records were audited and the state decided they owe $74 million in back taxes, penalties and interest. The company has been disputing it. It seems if Deal had a part in it, the audit would never have happened. Any company that the state says owes that much money will be disputing it. Edited to add, I just saw another article that said it's a Texas company, and the $74 million was sales taxes. No details, but my guess is they probably weren't collecting and reporting sales taxes for sales within Georgia. There have been disputes a -
OUT-OF-COUNTRY Online/Mailorder Pharmacy... do you use one?
markdavd replied to Caped Crusader's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Another thing to be aware of is the drugs may not be identical to the US equilivant, and quality control not as high. I seem to remeber reading about the wrong drug and even fake pills being shipped. Because they are being bought outside the country there is very little that can be done legally if there are problems. It's up to you, but you may want to run it by your attorney before giving specific advice to a customer on this topic. -
The entire hospital staff should have been quarantined, regardless of what the CDC said at the time.
-
That's what the press convinced the Low Information voters. The Republicans have a hard time winning because the Liberal Press doesn't want them to win.

Are those North Georgia apples, or were they shipped in from Washington?

It was actually a lab supervisor who may or may not have handled a sample - not a nurse. The lab workers are trained to use the highest level of safety protocols because they are always handling infectious blood and other samples. She was given permission to travel by the CDC, and from what I've read she is not showing any symptoms. Even the CDC says she's at a low risk for infection. This story shows the problem we're going to see more and more - the press heard something but not enough to run with so someone started making things up instead of waitnig on the facts, and other networks

That is a real study funded by the CDC. They decided to use funds to run all kinds of politically correct studies. Now they're complaing that they didn't have enough funding to study ebola.

One problem I see with a lot of 'leadership' today is that too many believe anyone proposing a negative "what if' is nothing but "Debbie Downer" who need to be put in their place. I can just imagine the conversation 2 months ago: Experienced and educated employee: "Sir, we're seeing the biggest outbreak of ebola in Africa in history. I have experience in infectious disease control and think I have some ideas about how to contain it if it ever shows up here." Boss- "It will never come here. All that debbie downer thinking creates too many bad vibes and will spoil things around here. Besi
