  1. I am soooooo burned out on ham, turkey, and all of the other traditional holiday dishes. I have 4 chicken breasts I am planning to cook for dinner tonight. I would rather not have baked lemon peppered chicken breasts again. Y'all help me out with some easy recipes please. I know there is something you can do with cream of mushroom soup, but it's not in my Betty Crocker cookbook.
  2. Just saw another Weight Watchers commercial with Jennifer Hudson. I have to say, she looks and sounds GREAT!!!! I gotta get some of that Weight Watchers! LoL
  3. Pell and Hope Grants need to be renewed annually. Usually in the Spring. At my school (and I think Statewide) Hope Grant only covers tuition for 95 credit hours. After that, you can apply for loans and scholarships. If you are planning to get your associates in the same field as your diploma, many of the classes will carry over. Depending on your program of study, the associates may require that you take more difficult classes - i.e. CMA program requires Anatomy and Physiology, the RN program requires a more difficult Anatomy and Physiology class. In many cases, if your Hope Grant has be
  4. Thankfully, I don't have to get back to the grind until my classes start back on Thursday. LiL RaceGirl has to head back to school tomorrow
  5. We have had Direct Tv for 11 years! Love it.
  6. I have been eating all stinking day! Piggies in a blanket, buffalo chicken cheese dip, taco soup, hot ham n swiss sandwiches and a few pieces of fudge here and there
  7. How about ice skating in Atlanta with a group of her friends? here's some info http://www.centennialpark.com/events/ice.html
  8. LoL - now this is funny! JSYK, I wasn't trying to correct you. I got in trouble with the po po here a long time ago for being a grammar nazi, so I don't do that anymore. Regardless of spelling, I find your post to have some validity. Kind of along the same lines as " a drunk man says what a sober man wants to" Oprah has said (and I agree) that money makes you more of what you already were. So, if you were a drug addicted poor person, money will make you more so. If you are an environmentalist poor person, money will make you more so. I think you are who you are, and you can blame your a
  9. A friend uses Dr. Rappaport in Atlanta Hope that helps.
  10. I can tell you that the gas fumes will make you nauseous. The fumes seem to rise to the upper level seating, so if you can sit lower or closer to the track, maybe that will help.
  11. We always use Carnival. We are taking our 6th cruise with them in 3 weeks. They have a great program for children of all ages. It is called camp Carnival. Check out their website for details. They keep the groups small and age appropriate, and they have many wonderful activities for them.
  12. Took my "prestige" tag off the back of the car, and put it on the front. Just a plain old regular tag on the back now. I can't justify the additional cost. Especially when you consider how much they charged me to make the damn thing to begin with. I don't understand why it should cost more every year. It's not like they are making me a new tag every year. I pay for the dang sticker! Ggggggrrrrrrr
  13. As a child I would always eat deer meat just like the rest of my family. As I have gotten older and hear more things (i.e. bird flu, west nile etc.) I have this fear that deer meat can make me sick. I figure if a mosquito bite can infect a bird, it can certainly infect a deer. Before anyone jumps my butt, yes I know the same is true with cows, pigs, chickens etc., but I am not much of a meat eater anyway. I'm not sure why the deer meat thing freaks me out, it just does.
  14. Very Very Sad. Lil Racegirl is sooooooo worried about his son.
  15. Years ago I thought I had found the perfect hairstylist for me. The times I was in her chair we would exchange stories about our daughters etc. One day in a store I heard this woman talking horribly to her child. She was saying things like "shut the F up" and "I am so sick of hearing your stupid voice" etc etc. As I rounded the corner, I realized it was the stylist. What a disappointment. I never went to her again. I get upset with my child too sometimes. I have to try to stick by this philosophy; If you saw another adult screaming at, cussing at, or hitting your child, what would your

  17. This is a show I would definitely recommend. BBS is absolutely one of my favorite bands. I can't wait to see them again on the Simple Man Cruise in 2 days!!!!
  18. WoW!!!!! I never thought I would see you here again!
  19. I know a more reasonable response would be "a boat", but it occurs to me, that if I have the hut, food, and all of the things on my list, I really wouldn't want a boat to escape in.
  20. Have you tried Paulding Meadows? Or the Senior Center? They are not glamorous, but they may be cheap, and should accommodate your guests.

  22. So do I! When I named my daughter Layla in 1995, the name wasn't as common as it is now. Check this link..... http://howmanyofme.com/search/
  23. Wow! My daughter, Layla Rae, weighed 7lbs 13 oz too!
  24. Well, being that my "baby" brother has Cerebral Palsy, I would have likely beat the living he!! out of the bullies. I was actually kicked off of my bus and left on the side of the road when I lived in Panama City. We passed my brother's bus on the street and a butthole on my bus made a comment about the "retard" bus. I explained to him why his comment was wrong, and gave him the chance to take it back. When he refused to recant and continued with additional slurs, I proceeded to show him the light. My bus driver decided it would be best if I got off the bus right then and there. I made m
