  2. We had a wedding down at the barn where I keep my horse... Bride walked down the lane to the barn, lighted the way by candles in mason jars. The barn is behind Burnt Hickory Ball Field in Dallas (N on 61).
  3. Sorry, but when I saw your header, I immediately thought, "Will she be altering them to get some reimbursement"?
  4. If you don't get any other takers, I'll grab them all tomorrow. I'm in New Hope; where are you?
  5. Just b/c there is no initial breakdown on the ballot, the SPLOST Dept has to SHOW their breakdown when it's presented to the Board. Yes, we are seeing that $35,462,750.50 has been dog-eared for "financing capital outlays for the maintenance, renovation, completion, construction and expansion of new and existing school facilities, and (ii) acquiring any property necessary or desirable therefore, both real and personal, the maximum cost of such projects", but there is a greater break-down that is presented by the SPLOST Dept showing how EVERY penny will be spent. By law, if they say,
  6. FORGOTTEN?? It happened what, 10-years ago, and she "forgot"? Dude, called me kooky, but I think I'd remember being finger-printed and being subjected to a body-cavity search (unless a body-cavity search occurs on such a regular basis, like changing your socks, then I guess I could see how it could be forgotten... )

  11. OG needs a minimum of 100 parking spaces; the spaces you are referring to are #1 - not enough & #2 - not "that property's spots". OG is rumored to be going into the land (not yet cleared) on the same side of the street as Jim & Nick's.
  12. Olive Garden could not go where the Johnny Carino's was due to parking constraints. OG needs more parking than what is available at that location.
  13. BTW, this is how the SPLOST reads on the ballot: Sample Ballot - November 2, 2010 Referendum Approval on the Renewal of the Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (SPLOST). For the purpose of Bonded Debt Reduction and other Educational Purposes. "Shall a special one percent sales and use tax for educational purposes continue to be imposed in Paulding County for a period of time not to exceed 20 calendar quarters, commencing upon the expiration of the existing special one percent sales and use tax, and for the raising of not more than $90,000,000 for the purpose of (a) paying a po

  15. Paulding School SPLOST would cut tax Paulding homeowners could see a reduction in some school taxes next year if the SPLOST IV renewal for the school district passes Nov. 2. Based on information presented by Superintendent Cliff Cole to the Paulding County Board of Education Sept. 28, an owner of a home valued at $100,000 would realize a savings of $118.52 each year over a five-year period. The reduction in taxes would result from the district lowering the current bond millage rate from 2.963 to 0 mills next year. Paulding residents will be able to access the information Cole

  20. I remember a long time ago, when I was a server, it was the winter and a homeless gentleman came in to get out of the cold. Several servers refused to even stop when he first walked in b/c they didn't want "that table". One even stood by with a can of lysol as "joke" to "disinfect the area" after he left (did it in front of him, snickering!) I gave the other servers a "stink eye" and went over to his table. He got out $0.85 for a cup of coffee and mumbled, "That's all". I went to the kitchen and put an order in for a complete meal - meat, potatoes, veggies, bread and dessert. I
  21. Kids are old enough to do their own laundry. IMO, you do NOT get paid to do your own stuff! If they are the only ones who use their bathroom (if you have a "your" bathroom and they have theirs), they do NOT get paid to clean it (BTW, they do NOT get to use YOUR bathroom). IMO, you get paid/rewarded for the EXTRAS you do around the house. And your comment of, "he can't work for his dad, so I have to support him" is a load of CRAP. He's able to work at the Haunted House, so he can haul his cookies to find a part-time job SOMEWHERE and pay for his own stuff. And as for "part-time j
