I figured that was the case. I think we would all enjoy the site more if everyone made the effort to be positive, fun, and warm. I have always said the site is what individuals make it. We are seeing a lot more negative than positive for a while. I would ignore someone that brought me down all the time too.

I have never put anyone on ignore. When I first joined p.com I would read a lot. I learned something interesting and that was the more people post the more you get to know them. I would think I could not stand someone when they would post, then as more subjects came up I would find myself liking them or even agreeing with them. Then there were those that would create an on line persona that was just awful and would never change, I learned a lot about others by the way they responded. It is just real life, you are not going to like everyone and they are not going to like you

The same as alcoholics, you have to force them to get help, many will not. The one reason that we did not let the state go after grandad is they would have taken it down to bare walls and dirt in the yard. We knew that there were some heirlooms under the junk that we wanted, we just could not get to it. The best thing someone could do is if they have a child that hordes and try to change it. I have a child that is a bit of hoarder, I have not gotten anywhere.

Yes there is a difference and that is why you see them bring in professionals to deal with them. There are people that hate any kind of physical labor so much that they will clean or pick up. They let it get out of control to the point that they can not even deal with the amount of labor it will take to get it clean. When I was sick this summer I got behind and felt so overwhelmed. Thank goodness the my husband and son pitched in to help me keep it up. They don't clean like I do with dusting and keeping the bathrooms and kitchen disinfected, but they were huge help. Even t

Family can not help them, they will literally fight, full fledged melt downs. My father has hauled multiple tons of junk to keep my grandfather from being jailed while the county came in with trucks and bulldozers. That show does not truly show the scope of just how bad they get when you take something without their permission and throw it away.

As hard as it is to believe some of these people have an almost uncontrollable fear of throwing things away. Throwing away an envelope feels to them the way throwing away your brand new TV would to you. Does it sound reasonable, nope, but that is the feeling they have about everything they falls in their possession. I have seen the obsession progress to where wrappers from candy and sugar packets can not even be thrown away, that is why you what looks like piles of trash around them. This was a reference to remarks about children that ride the short bus and the insinuation that people with disabilities are burden on taxpayers. People that have loved ones that they care for with disabilities have many challenges, not the least of which are financial burdens that they can meet without help. It would seem all of them if they hurt someone's bottom line. I am not being ugly, I have taken and I have given in my life and it all comes down to my own mirror and the truth.
