I am expecting a rush to close the schools and I don't want to get caught in it.

If you go to the weather channel website they have an interactive map that forecast the precipitation based on the speed at which the front is currently moving. It is pretty reliable, the perimeters of precipitation are variable but we are smack in the middle of it, so there are no doubts. It should be squarely over is by 11am, it is sleeting in Gadsen and Gadsen is a very good measurement of what we are getting and when.

It looks like right now it will start about 11am, we will be getting the bulk of the first round which is not much in the northern suburbs. Looks like south of us may get freezing rain. I am preparing to pick up my child at noon from school. The ground temps are very cold, it takes me an hour to get to his school and an hour to get home. I suspect that when it starts in earnest we will have some freezing rain, but not much for us in the northern suburbs, I think we will see the bulk of what we will get today by noon and it won't be much. I was really hoping it was a 24 hour thing. So far the queasiness has just come and gone, I am able to eat when the headache eases. We will have to wait until I get better, I am hoping I have not got what others have had for a week or so. I have been off for 2 weeks and I really do miss going into the office.

OMG thank you for sharing, I was too embarrassed to add that my nose hurts like I have run into a wall, not sore like from blowing it, but bruised. It is just a weird bug, my head has eased up a bit, but it and my face feels sore and bruised.
