  1. I have been known to have it for dinner Yep! not afraid to eat, but the luncheons and meetings are starting to show on me, I am going to have to reign it in.
  2. They are expert cuddlers!! Yes she will not let my son near me when she is on my lap! You should feel more privileged about Chi Chi coming on to you, she hates everyone! Patty will warm up,,,eventually They love that rocking chair as much as I do!
  3. Believe it or not there is some guy doing donuts on a 4 wheeler in the cul-d-sac.(sp). If he hits my car I am gonna be p.o.ed. I heard yelling a minute ago and have not heard the 4 wheeler since. Maybe he hit someone else's car or fell off the dang thing.
  4. My concern was for my Hubby getting home while it was still somewhat safe. I am so glad I checked and called him before it got bad.
  5. They are my babies! Land piranhas to others. They actually really like JohnnyJ and don't bite him anymore
  6. No, I live off of 61 north almost on the Bartow line.
  7. We are hunkered down for the weekend here! We have freezing rain coming down hard! The precious ones will be keeping us busy changing potty pads all day Actually they think she is an alien, and they treat her like one. They are the royal lap dogs she is a big dog. They don't like her to get petted or cuddled, nasty little chi's
  8. Yes we are hunkered down the usual fight for the lap has started, we may move to the bed and tv so everyone can cuddle.
  9. Hagen Daz is actually the healthiest.
  10. Sirens up here on N61 a few minutes ago.
  11. Ok it is more better now! Freezing rain. I won't be going back up there unless I want a bad hip!
  12. I was shocked! the driveway had snow from earlier it wasn't bad. I almost went down when I stepped on the road.
  13. Wanted to let yall know if you live in Burnt Hickory I just went to let the dogs out and I could hear something hitting the trees. It is a very fine freezing rain. I walked up to check the road so I could let hubby know if it was freezing. It is a solid sheet of clear ice, it looks wet but it is frozen. Please be careful.
  14. You are right, the consequences of cheating on it can be very bad for your health. The consequences of cheating on weight watchers is weight gain. I have done both. I find that minimizing fatty foods, eating raw veggies, and avoiding almost all white food products is best for weight loss and your health. Something I have not been practicing for a while. Time to climb back on the health wagon for me. I did actually give up sodas about a month ago, I was shocked at how bloated I was from them.
  15. You are right! I think it is important to distinguish between a lower carb diet compared to the average American diet, and a diet that is too low in good carbs and way to high in fat. Cutting out white flour, sugar, white rice in your diet is a healthy change for everyone. Adding raw veggies and high fiber foods is also a good thing. Fruit is good for you but most people should only eat about the same as what is recommended for a diabetic. The best thing about Adkins is the education you receive about carbs. Most people do embrace lower and better carbs after having done it.
  16. I am just thankful my daughter did not see it, she was so young at the time, I don't think she would have ever gotten over it. The funeral director was very kind and very delicate in explaining the special arrangements for the burial.
  17. I actually had a similar situation happen to me. I can not imagine how an entire brain ended up in the personal effects bag. But when my ex-husband was killed in a motor cycle accident that it took over an hour to get all of him extracted out of the bike primarily his head and helmet. We went to the funeral home to make arrangements, we needed some things out of the bag immediately, especially his wallet. The funeral director dumped the bag on the table for us to go through, when I looked down he had a long chain he kept his keys on, there was apparently large chunks of gray matter i
  18. I will be checking the road from time to time to check for ice. This is so I can let hubby know and he can get home before it gets to slippery, as you know we have a lot of hills. I will post if it does so you will know also. We tend to freeze faster up here than Dallas. Since you just moved up here be careful going through the pass where the Mcmichen (sp) place is just before A&R, it tends to fall heavy there and be a few degrees colder.
  19. It has been falling for about 1/2 hour. If you or someone you know is headed this way, it looks like we are having flurries. There is a lot of sleet in it, so you may want to be extra cautious up this way. My driveway is starting to turn white.
  20. Yep, that is why I am going to pick him up early, I expect there to be a rush up here, I don't want to deal with other stupid people. [not talking about you] more worried about the young drivers.
  21. I am not too worried, we are going to get very little, I worry about the temps being so low and the streets not being treated here. Should it get icy it will be a mess with so many trying to get kids home. I know the schools do not want the responsibility of getting kids home on icy roads. I wonder if they have put any salt down on the main roads yet?
  22. I am expecting a rush to close the schools and I don't want to get caught in it.
