I wanted to say that I am not making fun of anyone suffering from cancer. I know this post is to warn people to prevent suffering. It is clear that abuse and over indulgence in things does lead to cancer. But stressing out over everything out of fear does us no good either. We all do the best we can, nobody is perfect.

Well I am sure that all that ice cream would kill you, but you would die happy.

The paulding.com logo in the top left hand corner of every page. Click it scroll down until you see the directory, it has a criterion ad on it.

Thanks for spelling it correctly. I am out of it right now so I didn't have a label to check. Americans are so extreme and unbalanced, is is an all or nothing for the majority. Speaking of which I wonder how an all ice cream diet would work?
-
Yep! I am going to go on a totally fat free diet so I can live more years without Hagen Daz ice cream!

You know, all things in moderation. Cooking yourself in a tanning bed or outside everyday is not good. Those predisposed to skin cancer can get it even minimal exposure. My poor mother was so fair that she could not have exposed skin outsie for more than 15 minutes. My grandfather, father and myself are naturally dark. Grandfather had skin cancer ended up having to have a large area of his neck and shoulder removed, he stayed covered in the sun, long sleaves, hat, gloves. My dad has been fighting it for many years on his head. I spent many years sunbathing, I still get a little su

You are very right katrina was a very costly disaster that added to our national debt along with 911. 911 is still costing us billions with the war and security even now. If I really believed that other nations would help us should we collapse under our dept we wouldn't even be having this conversation. No single nation is going to match our giving in this, and at the end of the day the individual Americans that reached deep to give will never be acknowledged, it will be our gov. I will give because in my heart of hearts I know it is the right thing to do. But I will harbor

I enjoy giving and I can be generous. But I am not going to give the money for children's food to someone else and let my own starve. I then become needy and now you have 2 needy families instead of one. It takes wise people in this world to know when and how much to give. We are all motivated by pain and pleasure, we have removed that from leaders, they me be disappointed, but they never feel the kind of pain they inflict on many citizens, and until we find a way to change it, we will get more of the same. The people of this nation are digging deep and giving what they can, now

There is a big difference between kind hearted individuals giving what they can and a politician giving what is not his to give. He sacrifices nothing he give up nothing in his oh so generous out pouring of kindness, I do understand exactly your point. He is smarter and better than the rest of us, probably has plenty of money put back to take care of his own. When the well is dry those holding the seeds will starve right along with the rest of us. Just like the sinners and the saints died in the earthquake. I ask a question, does the outpouring of giving from individuals send a m

Honey those lady's are great, you don't know what you are missing, they love shopping with you! I am in there oohing and ahhing. And they don't lift a finger to help me get my shopping monster under control. Nope just get all into it with me, it is their shop, they love what they have in there and when you share in it I can tell you it is enjoyable. I bought boots there today I will wear them to lunch next time

We are going to take care of the rest of the world whether we like it or not. Whether or not we ever get any help from them when we are in need. The yoke is firmly upon our backs my friend, kinda like an unexpected pregnancy you got to find a way not only to deal with it but to like it. We owe the world because we are rich, of course we stole it all and came by it dishonestly how else does anybody get that rich? When we are all broken and poor they will say we got exactly what we deserved. Maybe it will work like karma if we are kind and generous it will come back to us 10 fol

If they grow up to be good contributing citizens I really don't mind it. Leaving them there will just perpetuate the problem of a predatory society for us to have go in and deal with later.

^5 I agree, also corporate America does it all the time, in fact they make commercials about how much they give. They wouldn't do it if it weren't for the bragging rights. I don't have a problem with it, it gets the money to where it is needed and people are helped and in the end that is all that really counts.

I certainly was not wanting anyone to change their minds about giving. I think Eym sirius was actually wanting us to have a more in depth conversation about this issue. He was not saying that there is anything wrong with giving or praying but that their are deeper feelings about this issue. We have always been there when we have been needed in the world. We have set a good example in many cases to the world, they choose not to follow it and find themselves in these situations over and over. We are not perfect and our leaders have not always done the right thing by some nations.

Now JLH ole Bubba has the right to his opinion. I don't think Pubby is going to make any drastic changes to the site based on a newbie having trouble adjusting. I am sure that Pubby appreciates your defense of him and his wonderful site. It just is not necessary for you to defend him with your snake, Pubby would hate to see someone injured on his account

When my son was at Childrens hospital they had a volunteer program were people came in and held and talked to the little ones. Many of the parents had jobs and other children at home and could not be there around the clock. I am sure they were comforted knowing that volunteers were nurturing these babies when they could not be there. It is a heart breaking situation to be in, I was amazed to see parents comforting other parents when their own child's situation was so heart breaking.

I am probably going to get slammed over this, but I tend to be a very honest person. I have not seen the first news story about this, simply because I go days and days without looking at the TV, and when I do it is usually history channel or discovery. Watching stories such as the one's displayed after 911 tend to cause me to grieve over and over, and keep me in a state of sadness endlessly. I have to wonder would things so quickly turn ugly here in the states should we have a disaster of this magnitude. I doubt it would happen so quickly. I have not quite made up my mind
