I had wondered the same thing when I read the list, why they weren't distinguishing those that held office and those running. I will email Mr.Perry and point that out to him. I know Melissa is not the only challenger on the list. It may just be an oversight of the person putting the names on the website. I actually started to compose a letter to Mr. Perry when I decided to look again at the list. I can see that many of the signatures do have the title by their names, I think we can assume that those without are candidates.

Here is an article about about the bill. Many people are jumping on the band wagon. You can click any of my links to get updates on the list see if our Paulding county representation is supporting it, you can also email the link to your representatives and ask them to take the pledge. You can also sign the petition in support. We have every right as citizens and voters to demand ethical behavior from those in office and those running for office.. Your welcome to keep your head in the sand about the airport. Then scream bloody murder about the plane disturbing your peace and quiet as it passes over your head to land there. You can't have it both ways Go kill something in that WMA your tax dollars paid for, I hear it is open season on coyotes.

I totally agree with your point of view, sorry I took the time to go on about people that seem to be against growth in the county. We have 142,741 or more people in the county to be considered in all the decisions that are made. I keep up with a lot of what goes on in the county and with businesses. All you ever hear on this site are those that have issues with the county or a negative attitude. If anyone dares to say they are for growth or think something is good for the people of the county they get attacked and unfortunately go away so there is never any good discussion on the site, unfo

Quite honestly the toll road is now a non-issue as far as the possibility of it ever happening. You can read articles about it all over the internet, the possibility of it was contingent on the other counties participating and it was soundly rejected by all. It was clearly an effort to take a chance that industries dependent on shipping and trucking could possibly come to Paulding. The county is now looking at other types of manufacturing and industry that is not heavily dependent on shipping. The issue is now one of current administration giving that option heavy consideration to the

It took the Zimmerman case to bring attention to ALEC but this is not the only law this group has written and gotten passed. I imagine the companies are running in anticipation of more scrutiny of the organization. It is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to legal corruption in our government. Do you ever see the commercials on tv with the lawyer hunting people that took drugs or had operations and wonder how a drug company survives, you feel sorry for the company. You may not be aware that drug companies can now pay an expedition fee of hundreds of thousands of dollars to get a

I don't think that the thought process is any different than Taliban soldiers turning themselves into human bombs and walking into crowds. The human mind is very strong people can and do convince themselves of a guaranteed afterlife of pleasure when they sacrifice for a higher power. My take on sacrificial actions is the believer thinks sacrifice removes any doubt reaching the promise land. I am sure many convince themselves that they are the chosen and it is God's will some feel that God is active in every moment and every decision they make, I think it is called predestination. It seems -
I have heard a lot of stories of people dying in the doctors office when they go in with this type of symptom, if I suspected I was having a heart attack I know I should go to an emergency room, maybe I am more informed than some. I think the doctor clearly did not take this guy's symptoms seriously because of his age, had he been 40 or over I think the test would have been done immediately or he would have been sent to the hospital. How many times have the public been told the symptoms and been given the advice that no matter your age go to the emergency room and have it checked? This was aft

My heart goes out to you, I have been through it way to many times and it is like losing a family member.   -
If this is a regular group that you do outings with I would simply say I enjoy taking the kids places and have a lot of fun things planned. I want to take the kids to this and that list them, over the summer. I hope you understand I can not pay for all the kids for everyone of these outings I don't mind the driving or watching the kids but, paying for all is just too much. As a young mom I was always grateful when someone took the kids on outings, I would have gladly paid for the break it gave me and a happy child. Birthday parties are the only activity you don't offer to pay. My chil

Not me, my true friend is my husband. I have a handful of close friends, beyond that my circle is still pretty good with people that don't back stab and gossip. As far as acquaintances I have a lot and I am genuinely glad to run into most of them even if it is only a couple of times a year. The one place where I tend to not be what someone might consider a good friend is someone that is very emotionally needy or fragile, I am just not good at that so I don't really try to be that person to people.
-
I don't do gossip and games which made me not very popular when I was younger with small kids. As an adult I have a great group of friends that feel the same way, do we talk about one another and peoples troubles, you bet we do and it is always what we can do to help them. You get what you give in relationships.

I had a great weekend with family friends, said goodbye to a dear friend that is moving away, but we sent him off with a great going away party! We mostly relaxed around the pool, ate some great food. I value relationships above all things so getting together and sharing is always the most enjoyable activity to me. I also took a break from local politics

It really is not so much the gift of gab, but sharing. To you it may seem like senseless prattle. If you are not participating in the conversations people can begin to perceive you as an outsider, because you are not participating, it sometimes makes people uncomfortable to feel like they are being observed. Honestly what do you bring to the group or to a friendship, friends generally do activities they like together they verbally share their enjoyment with one another. If you are not comfortable enough with the group to verbalize much, then you may have out grown the current group. Wi

I google constantly, any and everything I have the least bit of curiosity about. I google my hometown of Memphis, especially when it was flooding. I research a lot of things, people. places, events. Even current events end up on the wiki. Landmarks sometimes have multiple listings. Blogs are huge when someone is a prolific blogger, their subject matter or the author can end up with a full page on google. Even prolific posting on Facebook can get an entire page on google. I am amazed when I go to sites that allow everyday people to rate businesses, I have seen people put the same c

I am not playing your silly games, I am honest and forthright, go play this with animal. I don't owe you or anyone anything. I have a life and don't sit here all day and night on a holiday weekend waiting for post. Have a nice holiday.
-
Why would you assume that I have not talked to someone that was there? From what I can tell a lot of people are talking about it and that is how Animal heard about it. I have no way of finding out who all Animal has talked to, but feel free to ask him. My source was there.

To set the record straight as far as I know. According to the invite received at the p.com office there was a fundraiser to be held at Mr. and Mrs. Anavitarte's home in the North Paulding- Cedercrest area for Paulette Rakestraw Braddock and Howard Maxwell. We assumed the funds were being raised in anticipation of both candidates being challenged in the upcoming election, as the event was planned well before qualifying was over. The invitation came with a published list that read like a who's who's of supporters for these 2 politicians. Quite honestly Pubby and I were bogged down with wor

In other words a pissing contest between the county's ex-lawyer and the new ones. The Morrisons, their quality of life, and their pride is collateral damage. You might add this to the famous song,,,,,,, freedom of speech is just another word of nothing left to lose. -

I wonder if the Dallas theater is large enough to host these, or even Chattahoochee tech. They could stagger them morning and evening. There is no way I would try to take elderly people or infants to these things. There is usually a long walk from parking and then sitting in the heat way too long.
