Melissa Morrison will be at the Olive Tree Wine Tasting 7/14
LPPT replied to surepip's topic in RECENT TOPICS
They will be there but they won't be discussing Melissa and Thad's lawsuit. -
Would you like to discuss the politics of this situation? Lets let the readers know exactly what is going on...... There seems to have been a strategy, some people were counting on the Morrison's to beat the drum non-stop against David Austin about this law suit. There was a huge wrench thrown in the works when Melissa decided to run for representative. The Morrison's have been called and talked to over and over by people constantly bringing the law suit up, while the Morrison's have worked very hard to keep the issue separate from the campaign. They have disappointed a lot of pe

Sample GOP Ballot Questions for July 31,2012 Primary

I talked to someone I trust about this and they confirmed some things I already knew. I know that a lot people stand on the principal of don't ever tax yourself and that is perfectly fine. I know people have an issue with it being regional and that is fine. But what everyone needs to understand is that a lot of people that have issues with those 2 things and want to stop it, have also spread a lot of rumors about what it will and will not do. Not a dime of the taxes collected in your region or county are going to pay for a single thing outside of your region. That has been one of the most -
Sorry I don't agree when I think about all the sagging and bagging we see now. Not to mention butt crack, metal sticking out of peoples faces, dying their hair black to match their fingernails and clothes. I just can't agree with you. I will say I think daisy dukes and cowboy boots are kinda cute. Did you notice a lot less tshirts and baggy athletic clothes?

I have been reading about it all day on here. I had not even imagined how legitimate this thing looked from the outside of the envelope and even when you began reading it. I feel kind of stupid because I had the same reactions others had until I got to the Curruth name.

Here is an example of what I am talking about. Here’s the mail that’s causing all the fuss Posted on July 12, 2012 4:50 PM by Todd Rehm Some anonymous direct mail in several state Senate districts has drawn at least one ethics transparency complaint by Steve Voshall, who is running against Senator Jack Murphy. Peach Pundit reports that similar mail is being seen in the districts of Senator Chip Rogers and Senator Bill Heath. The mail is not exactly anonymous. More like undocumented. It purports to have been paid for by the Georgia Republican Senate Caucus Promotion PAC. Here’s

I am going to tell all of you the problem that I have with what we are seeing from almost day 1 of this election. I don't know how many of you check disclosures and expenditures. This mess started way back with fund raisers. I don't know how all of you feel about people holding big fundraisers with folks we never heard of from all over the state donating big bucks to selected campaigns and people running for office in Paulding. Not just Governors, but congressman, senators, representatives, right down to commissioners. We have people outside of Paulding donating big money to

This would be very interesting, I am hearing the same thing from a lot of folks. If you haven't done so already you should visit his website, because if he does win a lot of campaign managers are going to be taking a hard look at his strategy to see how a man that will only take a dollar campaign contribution won a race that the other 2 will combined end up spending over 100,000. Here is a clue every dollar donated represents a voter, if you see a mailer from JK these 2 can pack it in because I know what mailers cost to send them all over Paulding. That will be just about how many care to

Definitely coming to see you guys around 6:30 tonight!

Hearing tape from the Braddock candidate challenge held Wednesday morning

If not for the technicality it would have gone like this. Peach Pundit For those that have been told differently, federal taxes can not be not be discharged through a bankruptcy and also some state and local taxes. -
I just had someone describe a robo call to me that said something that went like this, if You see Bill Curruth tell him the Marshal is looking for him, he has a warrant for his arrest. Ps. I also received a mailer from from Mr. Curruth with nothing negative on it talking about his platform and encouraging people to get out and vote.

You don't have to pay to upload pics on here, as a non-paying member you are only allowed to up load so many KB' of material. Go to your account and your uploads and delete some of them and you will have room to upload more pics. It is simply a space issue, paying members simply get more as a perk for supporting the site. -
It seems to me that there is a big interest$$$ in seeing west Georgia incumbents hold their position. I wonder what the vote is for??? So who will they be representing? surely not us the taxpayer. We don't pay enough.

Thank you, I have no moral aversion to gambling, but I will out right admit that I think it is a stupid form of entertainment for stupid people. The paragraph below seems to demonstrate that stupidity is contagious in the proximity of where there is so much of it. In fact the story is full of stupidity, in that unions won't tighten their belt in a crisis allowing more people to keep their jobs, me generation rears it's ugly head yet again. I suspect though that the cost of living is quite high there and even small pay cuts can push some over the edge. Another consideration is that -
Paulding's Mike Miller is facing very similar type of attack. It take no stretch of the imagination to wonder if candidates are using the same campaign manager as they have in the past. Nor is it a stretch to imagine that they are being hired by others to control state level politics in Paulding. The Georgia Pundit has published a very familiar looking attack I am copying a short piece of the intro, you will want to see the rest for yourself. This mailer even include pics Douglasville, Ga. (July 12, 2012) – Today Mike Miller, candidate for Ga. State House District 66,

All I can say is if their customers are whining as much as my son they would pay it. I had to listen to him gripe for 10 minutes as he went through the menu pointing out all his favorites that were gone. We tried to explain to him about the free market and how it worked. He wanted to know why someone could not just walk up to viacom and shoot them with a gun so he could watch his shows. Did I mention that we have indulged him in xbox addiction

It's good to know that I am not the only person asking these common sense questions. Come on it's beyond logical, we all know what's up, as Lowrider is fond of saying and the Beat Goes ON. The thing is the question never gets answered, they get elected and here we are again 2 years later, waiting for the rumors then the signs then the disclosures then the expenditures and by the time we put the pieces of the puzzles together we get left holding the bag or the candidate and footing the (bill again) no pun intended. Let's explore how this works your business or private income that pays

Can you help me out with RTL you know I don't keep up like you do? -
I am so sorry, I was sick when I just started reading this for the first time and saw that one of the children was a toddler, it is almost always fatal in toddlers. I can not stress to parents reading this enough, ground beef for toddlers is a very risky food product. You can not be careful enough with little ones eating ground meat products. Even transferring bacteria from it in your kitchen. Or commercial kitchens. My heart is breaking for this family.

What we need to look at what are average salaries of casino workers, it is Georgia so probably non union, we have to look at the multiplier effect that it has locally. Will it bring living wage jobs with benefits or minimum wage. Big hotels are beautiful but all that glitters is not gold if they pay min w to most of their employees, the same goes for restaurants. Are the folks that backed Gingrich the one's wanting to bring it in? We need to look closely at this and how it has gone over in the cities they are in already, it has to be apples to apples union -v- non-union. -

I wouldn't have brought it up if I didn't think they mattered. That is were my curiosity comes from. A lot of people are claiming they belong to the tea party or subscribe to the ideals but there is a lot of inconsistency. The question remains is the AFB the consistent standard now for Georgia Republicans because the tea party has become self described from group to group and even regionally. Do you check what a TP group is supporting against the AFP before supporting a cause? I am not picking an argument I am asking about this honestly. -

Did I miss understand the reason for creating and publishing a report card on these legislators? I will be quite blunt with you some of these people are insinuating that the Tea party and Common cause are liberal and fighting the gift cap legislation. The people refusing to sign it and insinuating that these are liberals behind it all have A's and A+'s on this report card. It looks to me like the report card and the various articles pointing to it are saying this report card trumps everything when it comes to what these legislators say and do. It is not just that they published -
It is time once again to revisit one of my favorite topics. Things are beginning to heat up just a few weeks from July 31st. One might ask themselves why? well the disclosures and expenditures are rolling in and exposing money trails. Where to start, perhaps with those questioning the wholesomeness of ethic reform. It seems that the ethics bus has gathered some steam due to the heat of some disclosures and some pressure building up from multiple ethic charges being hinted at by some of the same people that claimed the ethics reform bill backed by Georgia's near and dearest Tea partie
