I just read that then-Arkansas-Governor Mike Huckabee granted the suspect clemency nine years ago by commuting a long prison sentence. Ouch. Try to help someone... I hope they find the guy and that he receives the most severe punishment available. Prayers for the families... and for the families of all police officers, for whom this is a brutal reminder of the danger of that job.

Just have to gloat a little over beating the school up north (ole miss), 41-27. It's a sweet way to end a tough "coulda-woulda-shoulda" season. We had a first year head coach, a 5'9" quarterback, and the toughest schedule in college football. We went 5-7 on the year... and for a nice change of pace, I think next year is looking up. Way to go Bulldogs!

I am grateful for my wife, who is the main blessing that God has put in my life. I am grateful for my children, who think I'm a better man than I really am.
