  1. Good Morning. I finally just went to sleep. I heard the thunder and saw some lightning. The thunder was a trip, I never heard it last as long as it did. I'm talking about one clap of thunder. Right now, I don't know what is going on, I have to get my wits, so I can find out about the weather today. Just woke up.
  2. I'm going to bed. Just keep your weather radio close and your phone with the Weather apps/American Red Cross close. Nothing is going to be happening tonight. Probably just rain for the most part.
  3. I know I had to put in the locations (turn it on as well) then test it for the sound. Took the tests. And I had to pick one of the 3 cells they showed (which if you have an iPhone you pick the middle phone that says banners) and then I had to, turn on send notifications and notify with sound. Then turn on current locations,

  6. LowRider, you should have just got a ping from the Red Cross app., about the tornado. I did!
  7. Dad and I were just standing outside and we heard a roll of thunder, and BAM there was the lightning. And it was a good one. It seemed like it stretched from Ivy Gulledge to my neighbors house. And it was huge.

  10. Georgia Governor Nathan Deal has declared a state of emergency due to severe storms throughout Georgia. Ahead of the Severe weather Event. If you have an iPhone make sure you went into settings and highlighted the Banner. I will be the middle phone of the 3.
  11. It hasn't yet, but it will if you have it correctly set up. I heard the sound it makes, on your tornado settings you should hear the sound. Then you know what you are looking for. That app., so much. Not just tornados, it does severe thunderstorms too. LowRider, Play around with it. Take the test it gives.
  12. There is a tornado on the ground at Tuscaloosa and Birmingham, also another one near Birmingham. Per Weather Channel. I was outside and it's very very calm. I felt a oh so gentle breeze like you would in the fall. I heard the bullfrogs and crickets outside. I don't understand why they would use the siren's at this point. Unless they were testing them for good measure, if we were to be hit by a tornado. I don't hear the sirens. I guess I'm to far out in New Hope. It sends the alerts via sound and notifications.
  13. Yes, I have the red cross tornado alert on my phone.
  14. I didn't hear any siren. And there is nothing going on in New Hope. I'm sorry but I'm bored with this all ready. I guess it's because I've been watching it since yesterday and I'm burnt out. LPPT, I don't understand what you are saying here. If you see lightning, without thunder, take cover. Why?
  15. We (meaning Dad and I) don't normally go to bed until about 2, 3. I'm watching my stuff in my bedroom, and he is in the family room watching his stuff on TV, then he will go upstairs to bed. Watch when we finally settle down for the morning, something will happen. My nap today wasn't long enough. I'm a little concerned about taking my meds, because they normally make me fall asleep. And I don't think this time around of storms, is the right time to sleep.

  19. Just got a call, that if there is any problems with in the school, or any cancelations they will send out a message/call. Weather channel said that our are isn't suppose to get a storm until 7AM. Huntsville, AL are under a warning right now, as the storm is entering. Madison County is also getting hit right now. Very calm outside right now. So, if they are saying not until morning, then some can relax that it isn't going to hit over night. So they say. It can change at any moment, which I'm sure you guys know this. It seems the storm is moving slow. Okay, they just beeped into th
  20. 3 Paulding Schools are graduating that day. East Paulding Paulding High and I think, can't really remember, North.
  21. Lowrider, I'm up. There is no way, I could sleep through something like this, until it passes. See, I took a short nap.
  22. B3 has been very active today. Just a few minutes ago, I saw her at the very edge of the nest looking straight down. It was cute, and nerve wracking. Afraid she will fall out. When the bad weather hits, I hope both parents are with her, to protect her. They don't have any business to be any where else.
  23. I am so tired from doing a bunch of errands today (bill paying and grocery shopping) and going to the doctors. The heat outside just wiped me out on top of everything else. Going to take a nap, wake me up when things get bad. Or better yet, it probably would be smart for me to just sleep through it. This way, I don't have to get spastic.
