  1. Well then tell him Saturday night is YOUR night with him and y'all come to Jalapeno Joe's.
  2. I LOVE MAXIINE! I can relate to her on SO many levels.
  3. THANK YOU!! That would be perfect.
  4. If anyone knows of somewhere that is hiring for seasonal workers PLEASE let me know so I can pass along the information to someone who is a good, dependable worker and is looking for a seasonal position.
  5. I read a thread where someone was asking for donations to have a benefit or fundraiser yard sale. I cannot find it now. Can someone please give me the link before I figure out I truly have lost my mind? TIA.
  6. OH NOOOOOO Pubby. I did not mean for it to sound like I was wanting them to use better methods. What I was trying to say was with the information given about this person having supposedly had several previous attempts at suicide that it sounds like it was NOT a suicide attempt. I meant that to me it appears that this was an accidental overdose or a cry for help. Regardless it is a VERY SAD situation and I pray the individual is okay and gets the help that might be needed.
  7. Well Dadgum.....I didn't see the wing special on here before we came yesterday. I woulda gotten some wings. Or maybe not. My chef salad SURE WAS GOOD and I was so stuffed I didn't even eat the rest of it when I came home. I hear it calling my name tonight, tho.
  8. So 10-44 is the code for suicide?? (I do not have a scanner nor am I familiar with the codes used.)I would think IF he truly wanted to die he would have been successful after several attempts. Or try a method that has a higher success rate such as a bullet. Maybe a cry for help or trying to get high using/mixing too many drugs?
  9. I am SORRY Justagirl but I have not been able to find the stockings for KSU or Georgia State. If I come across them I will let ya know. Thanks for checking with me.
  10. Sounds good!! Wish I had some homegrown tomatoes.
  11. WOW!?!? I see them at least in one or two locations just about every week-end around Paulding County. They are often at the intersection of Bobo & Macland Roads.
  12. The Dugout DH had chicken fingers/fries and I had a chef salad. It takes me forever to eat a salad so I bought some of it home. I'm thinking I might eat the rest of it and then have some homemade vanilla ice cream left over from Sunday night.
  13. That is my opinion too. One attempt with canned biscuits taught me my lesson. It isn't a big deal and easy to make the dough the way I do. I typically use chicken breast on the bone as the skin gives the broth a good chicken flavor. Plus they are on sale often so it makes an expensive meal. I let the chicken cool before de-boning. I do not shred it and put the chicken chunks in with the dumplings.
  14. I agree with your DH. I have to have fluffy and light dumplings, too. I boil the chicken and remove. Add 1 cup milk to broth and bring to boil. Dumplings: Mix well 2 cups self rising flour 1 cup milk 3 TBS oil Add chicken into broth/milk mixture. Scoop dumplings by spoon full into boiling liquid. Add salt & pepper. They only have to cook a couple minutes and will be light and fluffy. Lightly toss with large spoon without stirring.

  18. I am getting repairs done on an extra laptop (needs new keyboard, internal internet, etc.) Yeah, being on one 10-12 hrs/day everyday is rough on one. LOL. When I get that one up and running I will get this one cleaned up and some repairs on it. But, I have to do it in stages because I can't be without online access and keep any amount of sanity!! What about mindbolts games? The same games but not going through FB??? THANKS for the info! Do I just google CCleaner or is there a specific one?? THANKS!!
  19. I tried that. Not sure if it helped yet bc I just did it and haven't tried to do the game or anything. The web content currently using 305 KB and the cache limit is set at 1024. I only use Firefox, too. I hope you know what that means - I don't have a clue. Yeah, Yeah, Yeah, heard that one, too, LONG ago. But, then again there aren't many I haven't heard. THANKS.
  20. I fall in the "don't understand the rational of that" group. Didn't happen to me. The ex and I had been separated/divorced over 2 years and my college room-mate kept wanting me to come to Montgomery to meet a friend she worked with. She kept saying we would be perfect for each other and I kept telling her "The LAST thing I want in my life right now is a MAN!!" FINALLY after 6 months of this exchange I told her, "FINE tell me when to be there and I'll come for a visit with you, meet him and you'll shut up and life will go on." WELL.....we met on that blind date and it was love at
  21. I saw the segment on Channel 2 News and recognized it as being Twelve Oaks from the address. We lived in Twelve Oaks for 3 years but moved out the summer of 2000. I had no idea it had gone downhill like that. We enjoyed living there and had great neighbors/friends.
  22. CONGRATULATIONS on all the above - you have every right to brag!!!! (and the dinner doesn't sound half bad either. Are you making homemade lasagna?)

I also recommend Dr. Terry Kelly in Marietta. I have seen many doctors in my years and he is absolutely the BEST. He is extremely kind, soft spoken, takes time to explain everything and makes you feel at east. You are his only patient when he is with you. I would not consider seeing anyone else.
