  1. Smoltzie was a respected pitcher in his day, before the injuries. He continues to be a respected man and has contributed much to the Atlanta Community. He will be missed on the field but I look forward to him being in the booth - he has been very entertaining when he has visited there.
  2. THANKS - now I am sufficiently hungry!!! Several of these recipes I have made before and some of them regularly. Others I will definitely try. I will also add other favs later.
  3. That would be interesting. And, there is a donation center close by. The one in Douglasville employs a LOT of people!
  4. Let me know where you went and how it was. DH and I are going down the 17th. We went to Route 66 tonight. DH had hamburger steak and I had fried catfish fillets. We both had french fries and cole slow.
  5. CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! That is a good feeling and quite an accomplishment!! Proud of ya Girlfriend. (It was great seeing ya today, even if so briefly)
  6. I have taken 10 mg oxycodone before when it was prescribed and it wiped me out. I cannot imagine taking it along with everything else listed!!! True, this info caught me off guard. {{{{snicker}}}} (No disrespect intended, but that is just funny)
  7. CONGRATS!! I am working toward 10,000 myself.
  8. This may happen with some providers by as I said when I called my provider to inquire about the cheapest way, this was the recommendation. The Marietta location also made the same recommendation when I was in the store. I have done this twice with pre-paid cell phones and the companies knowledge. But to be on the safe side, you might not want to give too much information.
  9. CAN YOU BELIEVE NIKKI JUST DID THAT?????? HELLO?!?!?!? Okay, now to what I was really gonna say: I sometimes keep my eyes focused on the laptop and not the TV screen -listening to Y&R basically. So, not until today did I realize "Brother Todd" was Corbin Bernstein. Not until he was standing next to his real-life mother, Catherine. HOW COOL IS THAT!?!?!?!? To be acting with your son!
  10. Thanks for posting. I am sending this to DD for the 5 yr old DGD.
  11. You can continue service with your existing provider without a contract. You can go to Wal-Mart, Target, etc and purchase a pre-paid phone for that provider. You then go to their location and get a new Sims card for your cell number. Some will charge you a fee for the card, some will give it to you for free. You put the Sims card into the pre-paid phone and you are ready to go. I did this for about 2 yrs - the phone I wanted was a pre-paid phone but was not available to purchase through the company with a plan. (This was a suggestion actually made by the provider rep when I called needing a ph

    TO ALL MY

Right back at ya, Girlfriend. Ya!!
  13. DS used Jason Turner (on your list) and we all were very pleased with him and his staff.
  14. GREAT ADVICE!!!!! And, don't forget the valium.
  15. Paula genuinely cared about the contestants and they all had a special relationship with her, behind the scenes. That aspect of the show cannot be replaced. I don't blame Paula for being hurt and disappointed at the pay discrepancy between her and Ryan. The ladies on The View were suggesting Paula possibly made the announcement on Twitter in hopes her fans would contact Fox and 19 / FremantleMedia to say they do not want her to leave. That would give her the leaverage and hopefully a better financial deal. I agree with you Madea, I will miss Paula and don't care for Kara.
  16. Actually I was responding to the original post of itsaphd4me. Sorry for the confusion.
  17. WONDERFUL!!!!! I missed this when it was originally posted. Since it is now August 4th, is your daughter home? Has the party begun? PLEASE TELL HER THANK YOU FOR ME AND MY FAMILY!!
  18. Great observation, CC. I like the middle one done in B&W. (although I am bias toward bare feet )
  19. I don't know what happened but we live on Bus 6 and DH made a comment about the helicopter when he came in from watering his plants. He said it appeared they were looking for someone as the helicopter was hovering in one place.
  20. An old country preacher had a teenage son, and it was getting time the boy should give some thought to choosing a profession. Like many young men his age, the boy didn't really know what he wanted to do, and he didn't seem too concerned about it. One day, while the boy was away at school, his father decided to try an experiment. He went into the boy's room and placed on his study table four objects: 1. A Bible. 2. A silver dollar. 3. A bottle of whiskey.
  21. AWWWWWWWWWWW............She is such a SWEETIE!!!!! He made her feel special because she IS special!!!!
  22. THANKS!! Sending ya a PM. GEORGIA Flag PPU
  23. It reminds me of "The Omen" in the 1970's. The previews gave that same "feel" to it. I didn't realize Obsessed was on DVD. Doesn't seem that long ago DS saw it in the theater??
  24. AWESOME!!!!! I'll take care of it and I am looking forward to meeting her. That is exciting - and I have plenty of comforters to make a nice and fluffy pallet for the girls. I can even have my DGD's join them. BTW, is Sunshine still enjoying her personal photo album of Wade?? I need to add the rest of the pictures to you soon. I am sorta glad I didn't have them all in there for her b'day. It will be something new and hopefully exciting for her. We'll have to be sure and get their pictures at the Rodeo.
