DH and I have discussed this several times and it's always the same: It just is not right. It was an ACCIDENT! When the accident was originally reported in the media my thoughts were she was too inexperienced to be driving on those road conditions. The mother of the child who died has made it clear she did NOT want the friend charged while also making it clear she was placing blame on the state/county for not doing a better job clearing the roads. I do expect her to file a lawsuit against the state/county. The officer getting only 4 years? That is a totally different ball of wax.
