Let's keep another thing in mind, in addition to what you stated... That top 97% of wage earners are, by and large, the top EMPLOYERS as well. Yep, they pay the most taxes, but they are also the ones who give a large majority of people their jobs. You are exactly right! What I find really funny is how all the 'rich' people are so evil and should be taxed even more (according to some), but yet, we worship all celebrity and sports stars that goes along with that. Society worships the movie stars, sports stars, etc... but the stars of business, who actually keep the country afl

+1 Then slam it in to reverse and undo most everything that's been done by this abomination of an administration. Many of the candidates are talking about repealing many of these idiotic economy busting laws that have gone in to place. Unfortunately, much of the money that has been wasted is just gone, but at least get us back on a stable track were prosperity has a chance in the future.

Well, why don't you enlighten me? #1. I didn't start it. You did. #2. I know exactly what I got into. I got in to a one sided debate with someone who jumps to conclusions and insults people, unprovoked. I got in to a one sided debate with someone who can't refute anything I've said with any kind of logic, again without name calling. Oh wait, you didn't refute anything at all. I got in to a one sided debate with someone who thinks the world revolves around him and that nobody should ever question what he says and think there will be hell to pay, if person does. Face, yo

I agree! After so long, people are going to get used to them and then ignore them when they really should pay attention. But that's right from NOAA's website: http://www.crh.noaa.gov/mpx/?n=swaw

Not necessarily... There is no "standard" for how or what to set off a siren for... Each jurisdiction can set their own rules and guidelines for the criteria to set off the sirens. They can set them off for severe thunderstorms, if they desire... Some will set them off if they believe there is a threat of severe weather, even if the weather service doesn't issue an alert.

There's nothing in that post worth responding too, because you can't. You have nothing, except lame banter and name calling. Yeah, STUPID people who don't have a clue, is how PBO got elected. I damn sure didn't vote for him. You're the one supporting "SOCIAL" security, NOT me. PBO and his minions are the socialists... You're the one defending the DEMOCRAT started and maintained programs, NOT me. I MUST have it figured out, because I'm doing well enough to have retired before 40. How do you figure it hasn't worked out so well? I'm doing quite well. I don't HAVE to work,

You, and all the other idiots that think the government can do things better than private industry, rub me the wrong way. You do know the whole reason our government was formed initially is because the founding fathers were tired of the tyrannical government and excessive taxes that was being forced upon them, right? Oh, you probably don't. You like the government and think they should do everything for you. Do you need me to define "tyrannical" for you? You didn't notice quotation marks on my "rediulous" posted remarks? Care to elaborate? Oh, wait, you're talking about my

The Olive Tree is awesome. I've been eating there for YEARS... Started out eating at the one on Thorton Rd. many moons ago. Then, at the one in Villa Rica, when they opened. Have been to the Hiram location 3 or 4 times and the experience has been nothing but great. For a nicer atmosphere though, I'd pick the Villa Rica location over the Hiram location. The Villa Rica location has a more cozy and less historical feel about it.

Why? I didn't state a complete plan for eliminating it. I said it needed to be disbanned and the program ceased. I didn't give any particulars of how or when... If you wanted to know a plan for that, simple ask, jackass. Who's fault is what, Jackass? The fact that I can't take the money that the government is taking from me by force and invest it in areas where I or my financial adviser feels it would be suited best for me? Who's fault? Well, it's the US Government's fault. I still have money invested and I'm still investing and saving for my retirement, which has NO

#1. You're the knucklehead because you jump to conclusions. #2. I didn't say anything about dropping it instantly and telling all the existing people who are on it to drop dead. #3. You're the knucklehead if you don't believe that people should be responsible for their own life. Social security... what part of "SOCIAL" don't you understand? It should be stopped, but done so gradually. It should have been stopped 40 years ago. If I had been able to invest all the money that I have paid in social security over my working career, I would likely retire and draw 5x's the amount

Technically, it's not the courthouse, but yes, it is the same area... If you stand on 278 looking at the building, the left building, set back, is the courthouse...with the courtyard in front. The building to the right is the administration building. The administration building is where the permits office is located... on the first floor. The courthouse and the administration building are two separate buildings with two seperate addresses, but they are both in/on the same government complex grounds.

#1. Cutting tax deductions and removing tax breaks does NOT increase revenue. Why can't people get this through their heads? It has been shown, time and time again, over the history of our country, when you take money away from the people, the economy goes to hell. When you let people KEEP their money and spend it as they want, the economy goes up, and revenue is collected through the taxes that are currently in place. It has happened over and over. The government gives tax breaks and the economy flourishes and the government has plenty of money. Take money away from the people and th

Seems kind of silly to have to increase the septic tank size if no extra load is being put on it. However, I'd think the county permit office at the administration building, would be where you'd want to start with the questions. They may refer you to the health department, which is in the same building, but I'd start with permits.

You're absolutely right! Unfortunately, many customers will look at nothing but $$ and will take the cheapest route possible....even if you do tell them that they have other problems and you recommend fixing them at that time. I can fully understand people not wanting to spend more than they need, but I also believe in doing it right the first time. That's one of the reasons my customers have been life-long customers. I treat them right and I tell them what HAS to be fixed right away and what can wait... and what the consequences are, if any, if they wait. That's why I said, a r

Don't know where you're getting your information from, but that is absolutely not true. Replace an engine just because a head gasket cracked is stupid. Anti-freeze in the oil doesn't eat the bearings... Anti-freeze is a corrosion inhibitor... it doesn't cause corrosion. What causes bearing failure, IF the engine is run for a long time after the crack is the anti-freeze and oil not emulsifying (turning the chocolate brown color). If it doesn't emulsify, you have cavitation of the oil pump and failure to deliver oil to the bearings. That RARELY happens if it's noticed relativ

Unless the truck is not worth a couple of hundred dollars, why wouldn't you replace the head gasket? They get weak and they fail, just like any other part on an automobile. Replace the engine is absolutely silly, if it is a blown head gasket. It's about a 6hr job to replace a head gasket on most vehicles... If you have it fixed, use a factory head gasket, not a parts store one. If/when the head is pulled, the head and block need to be inspected for cracks. Cracks in either (more likely head than block) will exhibit the same problems as a blown gasket. If it's just a gasket

I STRONGLY suggest you look in to the law, closely. Yes, the law did change with the "Castle Doctrine." What it did was remove the "Duty to Retreat" from the citizen. It allows the citizen to protect him/herself, family, and other citizens without having to flee the scene if there is a possibility to do so. Your life still has to be in danger. While my personal opinion is this... I work for my money. The time I put in working is a portion of my life that I lost in exchange for the money. I use said money to buy my property. Someone steals my property, whether it be monet

Sorry Pubby, what I stated is not patently wrong, it's absolute fact. Did you not attend school? It's quite common knowledge. What part of YOU can't sue the federal government doesn't make sense? I didn't say STATES couldn't sue. States most definitely can sue. Just to give you a piece of information, YOU are not the STATE. And in the case of the gay soliders, what part of "if the government allows you too" didn't you understand? Oh, and you do know that case has been brought to the appeals court and the ruling is currently suspended, right? Nothing I stated was "patentl
-
You don't have to "make" them immune, they already are. The federal government cannot be sued unless one of two things occur. First, the you must have the permission of the government agency that you are going to sue. Otherwise, you can't. Sounds ridiculous, but it's true. Second, the only other way you can file suit against the federal government is under the FTCA (Federal Tort Claims Act). Then, you have to give a written claim to the agency that has caused the problem. The agency may take up to six months to approve or deny your claim. Once denied and a period of six month

Make sure your flash player, shockwave player, and java are up to date with the most current versions. Most all websites use some form of those three... You can find Flash and Shockwave at www.adobe.com and you can get java at www.java.com. All three are fairly quick and easy installs. Many sites are requiring Flash Player 10.1 minimum.

Well first, 51 processes running isn't necessarily a bad thing. I have 53 processes running most of the time. The number of process you have running is irrelevant. The "processor usage" and "memory" is what counts. You need to CTRL-ALT-DEL or right click the task bar and choose "Task Manager" and look at the processes running. Look and see which one is using the "CPU" in high numbers. Also, look to see how much memory it uses. Down at the bottom of the Task Manager it will show total CPU usage.

Umm... the Omni was demolished back in 1997.

I doubt very seriously there's an armed officer in that build 24hrs a day, especially at night. And about what you said before... nobody appreciates the public safety personnel more than I do. However, the joke was not poking fun at any of them. It's doubtful a police officer put that lock on. It was most likely put on by the contractor hired to do construction work. The poking fun was not aimed at officers or the staff...

Exactly! Speed is a catalyst. And most people simply do not have the skill and reaction time needed to drive at the speeds that they commonly do. ...and if you tell them that, you'll get the whole, "I've been driving for 35 years and never had an accident...blah blah blah... and I know damn good and well how to handle my car." I've shown quite a few people just how much skill they don't have and how much reaction time they don't have. They usually have the "I do possess the skills" attitude, until you give them some 'skills' to do and they can't perform them. Heck, just tak

Just curious, but why wouldn't you teach them to obey ALL traffic laws, period, no matter where they were? I personally wish the local law enforcement units had MORE traffic units working. I don't agree with the previous poster, that speed kills. Speed doesn't kill. Lack of skill and driving faster than you can control your car in any given situation, kills. Doing anything and everything, which a large majority of people do, OTHER than driving the vehicle, kills. Add speeding to all those things and it creates an insanely dangerous situation.
