Yea, but if you saw the drama my wife's family is going through right now, you'd believe anything. 30 something yo dies of cancer, boy's girlfriend and aunt and uncle of the boy go behind his mother's back to get the girlfriend married to the boy while he's completely out of it just a couple of days before his death, (he had 18 months since he learned he had the disease to marry her if he really wanted to) she won't return to the mom her pictures of the boy the mom had at the funeral home, already had the locks changed on his house before he died, etc. Money makes people do crappy thin

Indiana to pass law that could allow discrimination against gays
The Sound Guy replied to Brian's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Company I worked for in the 1990s did the same type of thing. A Bell corporation in the west required the same type of minority participation as above that we didn't meet. So we ended up hiring a company that did meet the requirements, that we sold all our equipment to, that then sold it to the RBOC that shall not be named under contract to us. So they ended up paying profit to two different companies, instead of just one, just because of that rule. Stupid. -

Of course there is always the option of telling them that I'd make the cake, but that special topper will be $5000 extra. -

I can't figure out why someone would want to force a business to do business with them. If they don't want my money, forget them and find someone who wants my business. -
I'm beginning to wonder who controls the money while she's in this state. If Whitney's will leaves most of the estate to other causes if Kristina dies, it may explain why dad is trying to keep Kristina alive until he and the lawyers can figure out a way to overturn the will.

Officer charged with criminal homicide.
The Sound Guy replied to CitizenCain's topic in RECENT TOPICS
We have a way. It's call the person doing what the police officer says and don't look like your going for a gun. if it's a mistake that you are being questioned, it should be cleared up quickly. It's pretty simple. If he'd just stopped, he'd got a ticket for the expired sticker and still be here today. Bad decision on top of bad decision cost him his life. Now, I'd like the investigation to determine if the second shot was justified. I suspect it wasn't as described. (esp with the time delay between them as Low mentioned. -
environment Sen. Lindsey Graham says climate change is man-made
The Sound Guy replied to gpatt0n's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Once again, I don't think there is *anybody* who will claim that there is no climate change. The questions nobody can answer are: 1) What's causing it 2) Can we stop it. The "scientists" are taking maybe 50 years of accurate temperature readings (and that may be stretching it) and trying to prove a long term (thousands of years) theory. Doesn't wash... way too small a sample. Those that think the science is "solid" obviously have political reasons for that. Anyone with any sense would have an open mind on it. Again, we had Global Warming four different times after each I -

Once again, do what your told and you won't have any issues. He ran, was caught up with, stunned, then kept reaching for his waist when told to leave his hands out and quit moving. This guy sounds like a Darwin award winner to me. Whether it's a crook or a cop that points a gun at you and says "Don't Move", then I really recommend you don't move! On top of that, once you've run, that kinda shows that you can't be trusted and anything else you do will be assumed to be the worse. Only question I have is if the stun gun only has one shot and that's why she didn't use it aga -
Any computer gurus on here, this time of night?

Looks like the battery got low and it tried to hibernate, but didn't recover properly when powered back up. I've had that happen on my laptop quite a bit, the windows hibernation code seems to have a few bugs in it. -
Pretty silly when you figure that most of that money will be going to maintain the roads/bridges we have that the state built to "Relieve congestion" but put in no plans to maintain/replace them. It's a band aid at best to build new roads anyway. The *ONLY* way transportation will be fixed in this area is if we get away from the suburb/city commuting model and put the jobs where the people live. I visit quite a bit up north and it's not uncommon to be driving down a road as empty as 61N and come across an office park with lots of high paying jobs in it where the people live in the sub

Am I allowed to go back and attempt to change something? I'd go back and tell the government to check out the passengers better on four flights on 9/11/2001.

Public banks focus on local growth; spurn Wall Street
The Sound Guy replied to gpatt0n's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Sounds like it might be a good idea... however the way they are borrowing from their own funds makes it sound like the robbing of the Social Security surplus. I have to wonder who will be controlling the bank. If the politicians have *any* control or influence on who works at the bank, I'd say no in a heartbeat. Too much chance of political pressure being brought to force the bank to over extend credit to the state as "easy money". A crash then brings down the state pensions as well as the current jobs. Ouch. One rule I learned the hard way (see Nortel bankruptcy), don't invest -
It took a couple of years, but we finally killed it at my Dad and Mom's house by close mowing for a couple of years. It's tough stuff.

Kudzu would fill well and was brought over here to stop erosion. It grows about anywhere... there are easy rules to remember for planting Kudzu: CHOOSING A PLOT: Kudzu can be grown almost anywhere, so site selection is not the problem it is with some other finicky plants like strawberries. Although kudzu will grow quite well on cement, for best results you should select an area having at least some dirt. To avoid lawsuits, it is advisable to plant well away from your neighbor’s house, unless, of course, you don’t get along well with your neighbor anyway. PREPARING THE SOIL: Go out

Hmmm makes note what to plant in the food plot next fall at the Hunting club.

Don't know Mark, but I will say that having a good agent is worth it's weight in gold or anything else you want to measure.

Ok, guess I'm the only one that remembers the joke: Old country farmer decides his son is going to have it better than he ever did and saves up to send him off to college. Son returns for Christmas break and the farmer invites everyone over for a party. While there he gets everyone's attention and tells his son, say something you've learned at that college, son. The Son proudly says: "Pi R Squared!" The farmer whips off his hat and start beating him with it yelling: "You dummy! Cornbread are Squared, Pie are ROUND!!"

How many millions of kids went to the site and didn't kill someone? Hmmm sounds like these two are dangerous and need to be separated from reasonable folk.
