  1. No Insurance i imagine. Friend was hit and still doesn't have his car fixed a year later.
  2. Lots of friends and their kids have the flu. I might should have gotten the shot after all.
  3. Sounds like a fun afternoon. Might have to try that one weekend.
  4. My daughter is fostering a rescue German Shepard at the house here. Poor thing is verbally very aggressive towards anyone it doesn't recognize but is really scared to death as he was rescued from an abusive household. He's very thin as he doesn't want to eat. I've finally got him to the point he will come up to me sometimes to take a treat. He's a beautiful animal and she's working with rescue trainers to figure out how to get him more relaxed and to the point he could be adopted.
  5. Maybe, but at 10:00 PM? You have to shoot Tannerite to make it go off and you do NOT want to be close when it goes off and it's hard to see in the dark. I'd lean more to Acetylene balloons. A friend of my would make them and one not much bigger than your fist sounded like a half stick of dynamite going off. If someone made a big balloon sized one, it' would have a massive bang.
  6. For real. We used to play soccer over at the park near Dallas and the building there was broken into several times. I guess it takes a special type to see themselves as the center of the universe and everything they see and can take should be theirs just because.
  7. Hays Eagles nest in PA destroyed by a storm. Dad and Mom seem to be OK, but the nest and the egg in it are gone. http://pittsburgh.cbslocal.com/2017/02/12/hays-eagles-nest-impacted-by-pittsburgh-wind-storm/
  8. Dunno, that hatch was on time for B9's hatching, I'm wonder if B8 didn't make it. It wouldn't be the first time they had an nonviable egg. Hope I'm wrong.
  9. Interesting, I'll have to try it if I can find the time. I gave up on the "normal" channels long ago, they not so much news as entertainment and drama. At least when I read news, I just quit and go to the next piece rather than having to listen to the drivel.
  10. Most later computers have the recovery disk built in. If you look at "My computer" do you see an extra drive called "Recovery" or something like that?
  11. 40 lbs bags it says. $5.00 a bag at TSC, sounds like a good deal. Wish you guys were open any hours at all evening or weekend, hard to get there for someone who works M-F.
  12. I have always wondered if the cable boxes report what you are tuned to and if they collect that info.
  13. Paulding EMTs saved my MIL, diagnosing her stoke and having the ambulance get her to the hospital in the golden hour. That 2 mil is the one part of our taxes I don't mind paying. When you need them, it's worth every penny. Thank you Gentlemen and Ladies.
  14. Wonder how long they will keep prime or at least raise the price of it as last I read it is costing them a LOT to buy market share. Also read this morning that it didn't do them enough good as they missed their revenue targets last quarter and has lost 3% in stock price this morning.
  15. Yea, to me open carry just means "Shoot me first"
  16. It would be a shame as I know the Booster programs do a LOT of good for all the athletics.
  17. It doesn't freaking mean anything anyway since the %$#@#$@#$ idiots under the dome passed a law that the police can't ask for your permit anyway. So anyone can carry including criminals and there is not a single thing the police can do unless they start shooting.
  18. Sigh. Why we have separation of powers and the courts people. Should he go over the line, as he did with the green card holders, the courts can and will fix the problem. Let the system work.
  19. The employer plans were required to offer more benefits as well, so that the number of choices of polices that an employer could offer were minimized. No longer could someone have the option of being an adult and pay for their own needs and just have insurance for major items. It's like requiring any car owner to have extended warranties *and* pre-paid service plans for the life of the vehicle. Those who actually plan ahead are punished for the mistake of those who can't.
  20. Did you read the article you linked? Lots of examples of how ACA forced premium changes: Mandatory coverage of pre-existing conditions contributed a lot to the change: The ACA's redistribution of wealth clause expiring also is causing a rise: The ACA affecting rates is mentioned more: It's pretty clear the ACA is having a major impact on the rate structure.
  21. I'm not a legal expert by any means, but I did stay at a Comfort Inn last week. That said, I'd be really surprised if they couldn't organize another club on campus that did the same thing, just didn't call itself a "The East Paulding Booster Club" or whatever their original legal name was. That is the whole idea behind corporate entities. How many times have you heard of a building going bankrupt, just to be back in business under a new name in weeks?
