Running for Re-election and can use your support please
icare replied to HawkeyeAngel's topic in RECENT TOPICS
You KNOW I have your back....I definitely want a yard sign. Let me know if there is ANYTHING else I can do. I will be finished with school on Wed. I would love for us to get together soon. -
That is where the growth was at the time it was built.

It is obvious who you support........."BOA messed up" Ha! That's an understatement! But the joke is the govt. want to give us $2000 to smooth over their screw up..........when I have time I will take a look at the Front Line piece but I don't buy in to everything I hear. I have to know and analyze facts from reliable sources and the problem is I don't think reliable doesn't exist any longer. Happy Memorial Day!!
-
You did mention Bush and Obama in your statement. I have no desire to read Front Line.....however, I disagree with your statement that the amount of homes underwater is irrelevant. I am a very positive person and my hubby and I are working very hard to keep our heads above water. I returned to college and I'm now teaching school despite the mess in education. I feel I can make a difference. My husband has lost two jobs and is now working again but with less pay. We lost our home of 21 years in the Countrywide/BOA debaucle and now my government wants to make it right by giving us $2000.

You may think the number of underwater homes is irrelevant, however, I do not. In my comment I did not mention which president....quit being so defensive about YOUR president and I personally don't believe the "only option" cop out. I never said that I didn't think the president shouldn't be a good leader, however, he must have good economic/business sense to help us out of this mess we're in. And, I agree he must build a great team. I don't believe we have a great team in place now. This is my opinion and I KNOW you have yours.

We need a President that knows business and economics and doesn't continue to throw money at the problem. Oh, and refer to my earlier post that says 55% of Georgia homes are underwater. I would love to know the number nationwide.

He is a little bit of comic relief in P.com Land. I enjoy his posts!

She can cook!?!?!?! What does that have to do with anything?
-
Wow!! I knew my comment would get a rise but I can't help the way I feel. There are two sides to every story and we have only heard one side.

I started this thread to get info about the gentleman that qualified. Since there is no information on here, I will look elsewhere. Come to think of it, with the nonsense, hearsay, and rumors that go on here, I'm not sure why I even asked. I will not vote for Mrs. Surepip because Surepip will use her as a way to seek revenge for his "situation." I am praying that Mr. Ray has a good record and will show me something worth voting for.
-
What position? Her job?
-
I will not vote for Paulette or Melissa. I would like to know more about Mr. James.

I didn't say "all of the cool kids are doing it." I said that school systems and superintendents everywhere are dealing with the same issues, massive cuts handed down from or federal and state govt. and in case you haven't noticed money doesn't just fall from the sky.
-
Money spent on lawsuits..... All Boards of Education hire a board attorney to handle all lawsuits Failing scores..........which schools? There are people upset over changes in admin. Maybe there is a good reason for those changes. Pushing more on teacher's for less pay................This is happening in every system around the country. The budget shortfalls begin with the Federal Govt. and trickles down. This superintendent along with many, many others are in a no win situation. They do their best with what they have. Damned if you do....damned if you don't.

This fellow qualified to run against Paulette Braddock. Anyone know him or anything about him? I would love to talk with him and possibly throw my support his way. Anything to get Paulette OUT!!!
-
Nope, I will stick with Kim Cobb. She is truly one of the most genuine, informed, and intellectual board members I have ever met. She does her homework on every issue and vote, she attends and volunteers for many school functions, she listens to concerns and passes them on to the appropriate person, and she is always fair. I will vote for Kim Cobb....she truly is a proven leader.

The problem is you feel that don't do their job. Have you spoke to one of them and asked specific questions? If you do you might just get an answer.

There is a formula based on FTE counts and what the operational cost to educate each student.

Thank you for this link. No one seems to notice the great things that take place in Paulding County.

In some cases principals requested a change, there were health issues, retirement, a whole host of reasons. Some things cannot, by law, be discussed in public. Executive sessions are for those very things. You elect these people in good faith to make good, sound decisions and I believe they do just that. I know them all personally and they care deeply about this school system.
-
GIVE ME A BREAK!!! Your D#@$ report card BS has nothing to do with home being underwater!!
-
Adminstrators are changed for good reasons, not just random changes. These type of things happen in every school system. I know many teachers that have left other systems to come to Paulding County. The problem is armchair superintendents and board members don't know ALL of the facts.
-
That is good news, however, a morning report said that 55% of Georgia homes are underwater....

Have any of you considered the fact that this mess we are in starts at the top....the very top? The economy starts with the president, past and present, and trickles down to the little people, ie. you, me, small business, and yes, local governments. They have been cut down to bare bones by the federal AND state government. What is your solution to the econmic problems that are facing our school system? I promise you they have looked at it from every angle and weighed all options. There is no decision regarding the budget that will be popular. EVERY school system is facing these situations. Pau

He told his students it was not allowed. Students that brought a date that was not a PCHS student had to show ID.
