Anyone know of an old school dentist that will simply "pull" a tooth?

So, let's see.....you apply for Obamacare subsidies on the honor system, don't pay your taxes, it takes the IRS 3-5 years to catch up with this person, this person doesn't have money to pay the arrears, and they keep digging deeper into my pocket. Yep, that sounds about right.

I am not wealthy and the shrinking middle class that Obama blamed on Bush just keeps right on shrinking.... I simply can't get over this.

Pubby can merge this with the other Obamacare threads if he would like but I just wanted people to know this. I just heard this tonight and I am floored!! Obamacare subsidies will be issued on the "honor system." HUH???!!! Is he for real???? I have students tell me every single day that their mother or father lied on their free and reduced lunch form in order for them to receive free meals. I know of MANY folks that have abused the food stamp and Medicaid systems. I honestly can't believe they are going to give away MORE of our hard earned money. Our government is out of control...

Yes, and I LOVE the fact that the Cincinnati organization gave him this opportunity and eventually gave him a job.

I guess people don't need inspiration. If this post involved politics, a wreck, a shooting, Miley Cyrus, etc. it would have many hits. I truly wish more people would take a look at the good things that people are doing for others in this world. Okay, off my soapbox....proceed.

I just watched ESPN's E:60's story about Teddy Kremer. What a great, inspirational story! Kudos to the Cincinnati Reds organization for giving Teddy purpose as a bat boy and eventually giving him a job. I am linking a clip of Teddy but I encourage you to watch the entire ESPN story when it becomes available. It WILL bless your heart! My Link

Fourth Graders being taught about Pimps and Mobstaz?
icare replied to Mrs G's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I have so much to say about this, however, I am on lunch break and only have a few minutes to respond. I am a teacher that would like to call this article for what it is.....a political attack. I use Common Core Standards every day and have never taught my students about pimps and gangstas. Common Core Standards are an attempt to make our students better critical thinkers and to have standards that are consistent no matter where the student attends school. I teach struggling readers that come from all over the world and Common Core is a good thing for them. Also, Common Core Standards are sp -
Yes, I always boil and cool my water. The DNR says four parts water to one part sugar. I don't use dye....the DNR says it is not necessary.

Yes, I just hope I can find some time to go to yard sales, thrift stores, etc. I really need an old window for this weekend....engagement party. I just need three day weekends!

Yes, and then it attracts bees!

I bought a feeder that came with the red nectar at the beginning of summer. They drank all of that nectar and then I started researching nectar I could make myself. That's when I ran across the above info. I now make my own nectar from the DNR website and do not color it. They have just finished off another feeder full and are on their third helping. They are so much fun!

I have thoroughly enjoyed watching our hummingbirds this year. I have always heard to take down the feeders before winter but I have found information quite the contrary. I intend to leave mine up this winter and will probably add a second one soon. Read this interesting link from the Georgia DNR if you have hummingbirds. http://georgiawildlife.com/node/502

I am looking for several things for my daughter's wedding and various parties leading up to the wedding. I am willing to pay or I will take any unwanted things off of your hands. If you don't have any of these items but know where I can get them, I would love to hear from you. The wedding is next spring and will be decorated with a vintage flair and bright/light pinks and ivory. Right now, I am looking for an old window with no panes, odds and ends china plates, small and medium old suitcases, old furniture pieces (small tables, buffet, small dresser). Let me know and thanks in advance!

I loved listening to John Denver as a teenager. He got me through a very difficult time when my Mom was sick and dying of cancer. However, I also listened to Jimmy Buffet, ZZ Top, The Eagles, Lynard Skynard, etc. But, John Denver always calmed my nerves....bittersweet times.

Some Paulding county folks have their panties in a wad
icare replied to LPPT's topic in RECENT TOPICS
And I said.....anyone working directly with the kids. As far as what the company website says, did it occur to you that perhaps these machines have that capability but Paulding County will only check the sex offender registry? Exactly what is wrong with that? Also, do folks realize how much time it would take for office staff to check a nationwide sex offender registry? This day and time it is necessary to be proactive. Damned if you do and damned if you don't. -

Why? Because of political spin on P.com??? -
Some Paulding county folks have their panties in a wad
icare replied to LPPT's topic in RECENT TOPICS
They have no intention of running a background check on you if you are visiting your child! This article is not entirely true and is nothing but political spin. A sex offenders list is already a matter of public record and it will only affect folks that are working directly with the children. PLEASE ask questions, do research and find the truth for yourself. DO NOT believe everything you read or hear! Good grief!! -

The Falcons ain't looking too good in pre-season
icare replied to Coppertop's Pop's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I would LOVE to buy them but it's not in the budget as we are paying for a wedding. My daugher bought us two tickets last Christmas and I had an amazing time! I want to tailgate one day...it looks like so much fun! -

I agree with you on the new stadium but Matt Ryan is anything but a pansy.....why do we have to make predictions and be so negative about our home team? So what if they have a losing season? I have supported the Braves and the Falcons since I was a little girl, through good times and in bad times. They have brought much joy to our family no matter the W-L column is. I am not a bandwagon fan....I support them always. Go Falcons!
