You are correct they do have that choice. It is a shame that I don't have a choice about my tax dollars supporting their children for them. They need an education and a way to support the little ones and the little ones need food, clothes, and a warm place to live. Those things are not my responsibility nor the responsibility of others to provide and yet there are third generations that seem to believe it is. LPPT understands, but I think you missed the part about "THE PLAN" backfiring. I believe out of wed lock births are being glamorized and it does affect the lessons teens take away.

I think she was speaking of teens. Most of them can't afford a child and need more education to help them get good jobs. I agree if you can afford it and make that choice it really is no body's business. Think the OP said something similar. Our age is showing here. You are correct the plan backfired.

I do agree with that. An ideal home would have parents who have that kind of involvement and control. Kids do not always listen to them even when they try very hard.

Try asking them who the Governor of the state is. I bet more of them know who Justin Bieber is. That would not mean that their parents had done a poor job. It would just speak to what is in with their crowd. Peer pressure is a mighty force unfortunately.

No, it has worked against a two parent home. Sad for the babies who need both.

I think it is glamorized far too much today. Government gives them money and sometimes housing for the child when they move out of Mom and Dad's. Government has taken Daddy's place in a lot of homes.

I would vote for Herman but not for Newt in a Primary. I think the ticket with both on it would lose. I like 4 or 5 candidates they do not include Palin or Huckabee. Forgot to add Romney as a no vote for me.

I was a fan of the original series and I am watching the new one right now.

I was in Dillards. I had a choice of getting out because I knew the lock down was coming or stay in the store. I chose to get in my car and try to make a hasty exit. Got stuck in line in the road block. So much for my get away plans. I was able to see all the way around my car and there were officers almost in front of it. They thought there might be another robber who got away. We were there for a long time but I was able to listen to my radio and talk to my Hubby on the phone. I was glad I made the choice to try and leave.

I guess I don't wear it on my shoulder. We have family of both races and it has not been something we dwell on.

You know, that never entered my head! I thought most were joking. I thought they were just using high crime areas. What does that have to do with race unless you just want to make it about that?

The one I was speaking of. was the robbery of a Brinks driver. It ended up in a shoot out I think. The security Guard for Brinks and the robber were both shot and wounded.

I was at the Mall when the last shooting occured. Hubby got overprotective after that. I can't imagine how he would react if I had been there for this one too. I wonder if I can keep him from finding out about this?

May be more than you want to pay but I think Sam & Roscoe's in D/ville has a free meal on your birthday, or is it desert? I expect you have to bring someone and pay for at least one meal. The food is great. Call them and get details.

I remember his excitement when he married and how much he seemed to love his wife. How proud and thrilled he was at the birth of his first child. I liked this man and am so saddened by this loss.
