Glad to help! Sorry Solo sounds like you will have to do without your soup.
-
La Parilla is closed so I guess technically you should have a valid excuse.

Today I would have to get Hubby to drive the monster with 4 wheel drive but we would not let a sick friend down. Might wind up in a ditch but we would try to get there. What fickle friend let you down?

I have friends that I have said that to. I would make the soup but they would have to make it to the door to get it. I would ring the door bell leave the soup and run. I do not want the flu.

That and they did not take bail out money. Given a choice between GM and Ford I would go with Ford because of that. -
The kids in my neighborhood are doing the same thing but it is 4 wheelers pulling other kids up and down the street.. I just hope they don't take out my mailbox and they don't get hurt. Sure can't be legal.

I know you are disappointed. I would make the same decision you have made. It is not worth the risk. -

I decided not to go to the swearing in before it was moved indoors. Ticket holders will not be allowed in, they will have to watch it on TV if they come. Their way of encouraging folks to stay off the roads. The Gala has been canceled. Are you sure the Wild Hog Supper has not been canceled too? -

I don't think so. I have never considered folks with his apparent leanings to have any political validity at all in today's world. We have been there and done that and we know evil when it raises it's ugly head. Oh, wait, are we allowed to teach our kids about Hitler in school these days? -

Sounds like Hitler! We know what a nut he was. A very dangerous nut. -

The reasonable/responsible ones (that I have seen) are saying that the attempts to make this political are not productive. Especially when all of the facts are not known. -
Hope you stay happy and your Hubby is not away very long.

What makes you think we will be shocked about the issues concerning the schools or the economy. Some of us do try to keep up.

You are right. I have not tried to make any accusations against the right or the left in this thread. If I failed to do that then I do apologize. I get defensive about the threat to free speech. I still believe the focus should always have been on the victims and their families.. I admit to arguing against the folks who have tried to play the blame game without having the facts. -

Another misrepresentation of the facts. I am not and have never been far right. -

Has nothing to do with YOUR assertion that he was insane. His superiors did nothing to stop his move through the ranks and did not call his sanity into question in his evaluations.. El Zorro has made that point. You can't get through a thread without insulting the intelligence or knowledge of someone who disagrees with you can you? -

They did? From Fox : http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2010/01/15/army-officers-face-discipline-fort-hood-shooting/ Hasan got passing grades and a promotion in part because disturbing information about his behavior and performance was not recorded by superiors or properly passed to others who might have stepped in, the report found. As Hasan's training progressed, his strident views on Islam became more pronounced as did worries about his competence as a medical professional. Yet his superiors continued to give him positive performance evaluations that kept him moving through the rank -

You mean the same folks that fired Juan Williams because they did not like what he had to say or that he worked for Fox. They lost credibility with me way back. They put their own spin on things. -
