never know...i'm the kind of cook that would put too much rice and suck up all the moisture from the dish, or too little rice and be left with pork chop soup. cereal is the safest bet in my house....but check the expiration date on the milk if you're not just gonna eat it dry out of the box.

Ha! This topic is *not* about my boobs, for once.... We have a community member who's going through a really rough time right now. I would love it if a few folks would consider cooking a meal that could be frozen and dropped off to her so she can avoid the added stress of meal prep during this difficult situation. Does the community chest need to get involved or approve this action? If so, please do so, promptly! If not, I'd like to encourage our board members to volunteer their efforts and culinary talents. I don't have a spouse, I have two grown kids who live with me and work full time. They both pay 'rent' and pitch in with other household expenses. Before any of us go out and spend more than $200 (or so) on a personal purchase, we check with each other to see if there's anything else the money should be spent on first. We just consider it 'courtesy'.
