Today, when I was resting, a rather short old lady (maybe in her 70's??) came up to the door (off Paulding Blvd) and said she lived in Paces Overlook and that she was selling crafts she made to help with her bone cancer. At that time, the baby needed feeding and we didn't go out, but I know she hit up the houses in the neighborhood. I thought I read on here about a scam of this sort recently, but am unable to find it. Did anybody else encounter her?

Well a lot with these people--well at least with one set of parents anyway....but that's about all I want to say. LOL

I do know what happened. We were there. It was ridiculous. Two kids ran into each other under on accident under the 'barn' playground equipment and one child got a cut on his head from running into the other. The parents of the injured party starting yelling at the parents of the other party and police/ambulance were called. BOTH children were fine. Injured party made up stuff about a fight. It was absurd. Also, these were two young kids--say 7ish.

Would there be a reason for this to happen?? Is there any possibility the girl be pregnant and that's why she ran? Have all of her friends been interviewed or questioned? She's a cheerleader--maybe at least ONE of her friends knows some details? Did the girl have a cell phone? Could those records be checked-or could the texts be checked somehow??? Is the boy looking for attention for some reason? Is there some way for authorities to contact friends and have them attempt to talk to them? I haven't read the WHOLE thread, but could somebody (authorities/mutual friends) contact the friends in Flor

I'm glad you crossed out "most" since it would be completely false to say that. MOST foxes are NOT rabid. It's actually unusual. However, we are rapidly ripping away their habitat for too many stupid housing and store projects and should expect to see them in our environment more and more. Rabid problems increase when you stick too many wild animals in too small of an area. Just had to put in two cents worth. Yes, be careful around wild animals. Do not be surprised to see them more often and do NOT panic!

Spiders don't clean themselves like other bugs tend to do-therefore, poison isn't very effective on them since they don't 'lick it off' for lack of a better term. You are correct-getting rid of the food source is the best plan. ETA: Also, cleaning often in dark areas (back of cabinets) and under ledges (under cabinets, etc) is also very effective.

Is it still legal to use 'gray water' (washing machine, sink, bathtub) water to water the garden? Such as-is it still legal to re-route your washing machine, sink, or tub so that it drains into a garden?

I'm curious as to why she would have to learn to walk again?? Brown recluse bites affect tissue and skin. Black widow bites affect the nerves and often lead to neuro problems such as walking difficulties and terrible headaches and major neurological problems. ETA: Every person reacts differently to spider bites-generally if you have a problem with your immune system, you're likely to react worse.
