  1. Hey, I believe it was Cocodries, it sounds familiar. I remember we stayed at a condo right beside the pier and that restaurant was right beside the pier. It has great food and an deck on the back where you could eat. It was great!!
  2. Navarre is a great beach. Last time I was there it was before the hurricane destroyed the road that lead from Navarre down to Pensacola Florida. There are parks on both sides of Navarre, it was great. That pier has been destroyed numerous times by the hurricane. I would love to go back down there and eat out at that restaurant down the road, don't remember what it was called but it was the last business before it turned into park land.
  3. Ya, You go like you are about to enter the dump and then you veer off to the right through a steel fence onto a dirt road. Just follow it and it will take you back to where they fly model airplanes. You will pass a shooting range on the way, but this is for cops only and if you get caught shooting there bad things will happen to you. Anyways, I never went all the way to the airfield because there is a big sign that sais, "goverment property, keep out" right before you enter the RC airfield
  4. I know, and it was a good point too. I was just looking at the posts and after the other people started posting about private property it made my post look like I was just wandering where ever I pleased and going into peoples back yards, lol. I was just clearing it up for my own sake.
  5. I thought it was just a given for people to not fish on private lakes. I guess if I don't go out on a rope and spell it out then I will look like I fish on private lakes too. Ok, let me rephrase then. "Go onto google maps and look at all the streams and lakes, and then find out where public access ends and private access begins, and then begin your fishing adventures, and remember, no fishing on private land unless you have the permission of the land owners!!" I know a ton of spots to fish at due to my long hours pouring over USGS topo maps. The public land boundaries are easy t
  6. Do like I did. Pull up google maps and then start searching. I find places way off the beaten path that you have to walk miles to get too, but the fishing is great cause no one is willing to walk anywhere anymore, everyone just wants to park and fish. If you walk, the fish will be plentiful.
  7. Doesn't take a genius to know not to grow pot in your back yard
  8. It was great when she kissed Scarlett Johanssen. What a way to make a comeback
  9. Well, the whole reason I just took the trip to Florida over the memorial day weekend is because my father passed the week before. We also sprinkled his ashes in the beautiful clear waters. The water was the clearest I have seen it in a long time. The ocean was the place that he loved the most. He has been traveling to Panama city and the gulf area since he was a kid. It was his slice of heaven on earth.
  10. Oh no, I just got back yesterday from Seaside Florida. And then I have heard tons of commercials for Florida saying that they will not be affected. This is awful, the water there was incredible, just the clearest aqua blue that you could imagine. I would hate to see the beaches and the waters blackened. I wonder how bad it will get for the pan handle?
  11. Hah, that's exactly how my brother explained it. He said it was the biggest natural high to get in front of the crowd and just work them and have them all just get into the music so much. He said it was his most favorite thing to do, the rush he got from being on stage could never be matched.. But he found a women and finally needed to get a well paying job, one that doesn't let him get off whenever he wanted to to go play. So he had to let it go. He didn't like the politics of music, but just playing it.
  12. Nahhh.... Its been close to a decade since they had played. Their bands original name was violent sky, and later it was changed to dredknot.... If you went to local concerts much in the 90s you were likely to have seen them, they 1st had a funk/rock sound like red hot chilli peppers and thats why they fit in well with stuck mojo and 311. Later it was more aggressive type rock. My brother was the crazy azz front man, and Mark Hogan was the Giant Bassist. He (Mark Hogan) is easily the best musician I have ever seen in my life, literally. He can pick up any stringed instrument that he has
  13. I used to have 3 motorcycles myself until the economy collapsed. Anyways, just watch out for the motorcycles. Too many people turn left in front of motorcycles because they are looking for huge honking SUVs and don't see motorcycles until its too late. I can't count the numbers of times I have almost been taken out by the number of left hand turners. Luckily none of them ever ended up in a wreck. Same goes for motorcyclists too. You gotta drive like your life is on the line... cause it is. There is no such thing as a fender bender with a motorcycle. So don't go riding on someones butt, b
  14. They all worked shatty jobs, music doesn't pay anything unless your a megastar, they were pretty much broke as they could be. 5 guys living in one house... how much money do you think there was, lol. A bunch of cooks and couriers was it. But they used what ever money they had to get the best equipment possible. Took some years but they eventually, slowly built their collection of fine gear. It wasn't elaborate what they did for soundproofing, lol. They just hung tapestry around the walls and made sure to insulate the rooms very well. They did it themselves. I met all those guys in the ba
  15. My brother used to be in a band and they would rehearse about 5 days out of the week. And they played "LOUD!!!" When I mean loud, louder then any concert you would hear. They were very serious and had pretty much the best equipment money could buy cause they needed it as they would play with 311, stuck mojo, seven dust... etc... Anyways, guess what, you wouldn't even know it if you were standing outside their front door. Why you ask? Because they had respect for their neighboors and took the time to soundproof their basement. For me, I can't stand people who blare their music while worki
  16. What? I accidently quoted "Back at you", I have automatic quotes on, sorry. And if you didn't notice I said give people pain medicine who truly need it, hello Anyways my main focus was people who were getting pain pills who truly didn't need it. I know people who got on them for legitimate reasons but after the pain subsided, yes they told me this themselves, they were still able to get the painkillers when ever they wanted. So... I was just questioning on how somebody who has made a complete recovery from broken bones or surgery could still be sucking down pills like the day after sur
  17. Be careful, I have found people doing things there you are not suppose to do in public. Ruined my day. Let's just say that she wasn't sucking on a lollipop.
  18. I have always wondered how people legally get so many prescription medications and then get hooked and just keep on getting them like there is no tomorrow. I always wondered why doctors didn't take notice of this and start to curb the medication. I personally know people who have become addicted and always wondered how they keep on getting there medication. I hate medicine and will not take it unless it is a life threatening situation. I have back pain that is worst then most and still get on with my daily activities, I just suck it up. It is always there and never goes away. Now I won'
  19. So, did he have a gun or was he just bluffing with words? I will never understand why some men are so utterly stupid to want to kill there wife or anyone else for that matter if the wife had cheated on him or what not. Sure, it will be painful to find that out, but then again there are millions of other fish to choose from in the sea. Just get on with your life. I love my wife to death, but if something like that happened I would just say bye bye to her and then hello to the new adventure in my life. I wouldn't go crazy and hold someone hostage over some women. Crazy.... It's not worth sitting
  20. What? I did not hear of this and I only live 5 minutes down the road. What was the outcome? Everyonce and a while I will think of things like this when I walk into any store, some freak losing his mind and going berserk on everyone.

    AVATAR

Hey all, ya I know the thread was a little old, but I just got around to watching the movie. All I can say is that this movie was Incredible!!!!! The story was good, but not the greatest, but it more then made it for it by the best cinematic experience ever since they released Lord of the rings. The 3D was unreal and the special effects were insane. I will have to go see it again before it's no longer in theaters. I saw it in the NGC theater and it was great. Also, to answer the question, what is I-Max 3d, it is a mini version of Imax using normal size screens. Basically from what I unde
  22. Ya, I used to love going to that place. Except on my last birthday, at the end of August, I went there and started walking to the top of the falls, and what I saw shocked and disgusted me. Well, lets just say that there was a man and a women near the creek at the edge of the falls, and the women wasn't sucking on a lolly pop. Anyhow, I just turned around and walked back down and my dog barked at them and then followed me down. I have not been back there since. It has ruined the magic of that place, for me at least.
  23. The only people who are getting christmas gifts this year are my kids. I could really care less about gifts. Thats great that the media at least is shedding some hopeful light on the economy. Good news will make everyone feel better and hopefully stop holding off on buying or investing in anything. On the other hand none of this good news has any impact on the cobwebs which fill my wallet, so as of yet only the kids are getting stuff. They are at that good age where cheap action figures and dolls will suffice. , lucky me.
  24. I thought that traffic would be back to normal today? Usually it takes me 35 minutes to get from where I live in Dallas to Kennesaw to work. This morning it took 1 hour and 15 minutes. I thought that a lot of roads opened back up and everyone who got deverted onto dallas highway could go their regular route? Is anyone one else hitting this traffic. I tried a different route but still hit traffic on 41 and old 41 (more so then last week too.) I think that I am just lucky and am the only one who gets the pleasure of sitting in traffic. None of my co-workers have been having problems and say that
  25. I was wondering what was going on. My neighborhood is on Dallas Highway by the walmart there and traffic was backed up way past 92. I had to go to 92, mars hill, then 41. There was absolutely no traffic on those roads at all. It was like driving on the weekends. Though, it added 20 additional minutes to my drive cause it was out of the way.
