Hello all, Well considering my house got foreclosed on, I think the smartest thing to do is to move back in to my mothers house for super cheap rent. I plan on finishing the basement for my wife and I. The total square footage is 660 sq. ft. This is enough for a normal sized bedroom, entertainment room and office. It does leak every once and a while during a heavy storm, so that is my main concern. I think it just has to do with the gutters though. So I will fix those. Anyhow, any tips from you people that have finished out a basement would be great. I plan on doing the stud wall

Yup, I feel the same way. I have toiled and put in hard work and am one of the best workers here, but with the way the economy the company has no money to pay us with and we keep getting more and more cuts. I am making less then when I was making when I was 18, but I have insurance and am not working in a crappy factory. Other then that it is depressing talking to someone working at a trade that requires no skill and almost making twice as much as you. Sounds like they have the right idea....

Our modification hardly dropped our payments at all, and I got a 60% paycut at work, so they would have needed to do much better for me to keep the house. I keep hearing about these $300 loan modifications, but mine was only reduced $50, doesn't help out at all. Anyhow, if the bank forecloses and does not offer me compensation according to the "broom swept" agreement mentioned above, then you better believe that I am going to sell any appliances I have bought with my hard earned money while I have been living in the house. I am not just going to leave money (bought appliances) sittin

Ok, thanks again for all the great info. I am going to be upset when I find the house sells for $40,000.. because if they would had just refinanced it for that with me it would have saved both the bank and I a lot of hassle. Now I need to move forward to look for rental protperties.

Thanks for the info. That helps a lot! So the banks will actually contact you after the house has been foreclosed on and offer you cash for a broom swept condition house? That is what I was trying to get in the deed for lease. That is odd. Also, how do I find out who purchases the property? Will it be online or will I get a letter stating who now owns the property? Thanks again.

Hello, Well they denied the deed for lease, and since it took 3 months for that process I have no time to do a short sell before the foreclosure this Tuesday (they will not postpone it). After the foreclosure, about how much time does one have before you get evicted? I want to be out of the house by then, but I need time to look for a rental. What is the process they go through to evict someone? Also, does anyone know a good place to find rentals? We are trying to find a place in the district of Mcgarity elementry school (where my kids go to school now.) I don't want to move

Usually this happens in toddlers from what I have read in the past. I have had sleep paralysis happen to me and it is no fun. The first time was the worst. I remember I could barely open my eyes, pretty much just slits where I could see some light. I couldn't move my head, my hands, feet, anything. I was concetrating HARD on moving my fingers and couldn't do so. I tried moving my head but it wouldn't work. I really started to FREAK OUT and about lost my sanity, then all of a sudden I thought to myself "well, I am getting no where with this" and I just went back to sleep peacefully. I have had

I actually think most new born babies are ugly as can be... lol. They look like little aliens with the big head and lanky body and all. After a few months then that is when babys get really cute.

Speaking of ages that surprise you, I didn't know William Shatner was 80 until a few weeks ago... I thought he was at the most 60 from his looks.

I would continue just as I am.. I already have completed a lot of my bucket list, but there is a lot more I would like to do. But.. life happens and we can't do everything we want all the time. The world has almost come to the end every 10 years ever since people have been living on this earth... when it comes to an end so be it.. until that time it's just another day and I am happy the sun is shining on my face.. lol

Errr... it's Arnold. This news is like someone coming on the news saying a penguin went for a swim. It is the nature of the beast.

Have you guys been reading the AJC this week. Every day there is a new story about home invasion... kinda scary. I'm gonna go live in the woods where it's safer, lol.... -
Yup, it's almost a tie between pits and the rottweiler... who would have ever thought... figured it would have been a beagle

Dogs are as diverse as people when it comes to personalities, but breeds can still be labeled by their traits. Would you purchase a weimaraner with the intent of just letting it sit in your house all day and not giving it exercise.... no cause the dog would go knucking futz and tear up your house with all it's pent up energy. That is just the nature of the animal and what it was bred for. Those dogs need some serious exercise, and you need to be prepared for this before you buy it. All weimaraners are different, but all of them have the energy of the sun inside them. The point is, certai

My brother in law was doing some car repair for a cop and they got to talking and the cop said that it is unbelievable that some people still do not want a gun in the house. The cop said that with what he sees he would never, ever not have a gun in the house. He said that home invasions were on the rise big time.... if someone comes into my house I hope they like the taste of buck shot, that is like getting shot with 9 9mm bullets at one time, no one is gonna survive that.. and if there are more people then my glock 9mm is gonna be back up... and if zombies come out then the AK-47 will come ou -
My mother is from Peru and she has been in her fair share of earthquakes. She said she would take a tornadoe any day because you can just hide in the basement and you are pretty well protected. She said in an Earthquake there is no where to run and no where to hide... the whole earth feels like it is falling apart underneath your feet. I agree with her. Though when I was in the tornado that struck windy hill road that was the most scared I have ever been... there is absolutely nothing you can do and it is amazing to see the power of nature unleashed in front of you.

Thanks for the explanation. I actually never thought of it that way. I was actually born and raised in Georgia (Acworth) and I have been in 2 actual tornadoes here, I mean actually in it with everything getting blown up around me. Never thought about why so many tornadoes were produced, lol. I always thought they were made in Kansas and blew over here... .. now I know, I am enlightened....

What is the deal from all the cells coming out of nowhere in Alabama and heading into Georgia. I thought the one passing over us right now would have been the last one.. but they just keep on coming out of no where.

Burns said tornado has touched down in cedartown right on 278..
-
Is this the same tornadoe that was in Tuscallosa Al.??? That thing won't stop!
-
I came to Acworth because my mother has a basement. It is looking weird outside. The wind is moving in fast and the lightning is flashing like crazy in the distance. It feels weird outside too. It feels like it is cold and warm at the same time.

The trick is fresh fish, really. Anything that you buy at a store is not going to be super fresh. I catch my own fish to eat (catfish, crappie, etc..) and if you fillet right away after coming home from the lake the only smell in the house after frying them is a smell that will make you unbelievably hungry.. My wife gets the tilapia from the stor and fries it and it smells fishy every time. Fresh fish just smell yummy.

Far north... as in heaven far... lol

The wind is getting CRAZY here and I work in Kennesaw near Town center mall... the smaller trees that are more limber are pretty much blowing all the way to the ground.

I hate when storms hit in rush hour traffic........ really hate it. After being caught in a tornado while in a vehicle one time, it is something I never want to experience again. Dang nature.. U scary....
