  1. Now there is nothing on either list I have ever purchased.
  2. And don't know of any one else in our La Parilla Friday nighters who have gotten sick either. I plan to keep sharing the salsa and the jalapeno cheese dip with you every Friday night. I ain't skeered either.
  3. Your poll is flawed. You need an N/A in at least one of those. Who hasn't bought crazy glue? I wanted to vote that I had bought that, but it wouldn't let me unless I voted in the other part too. Pfft.... on the other items.
  4. OK. That made me As sick as she can be, we her any way.
  5. It does thicken some, but not a lot. I will pm you my phone number.
  6. I take a big clump of butter and add the flower to it. It turns into like a paste. Gradually add in the broth and stir it up. You will add more broth to it several times until you come up with the consistency that you want.
  7. I don't see why not. We just like to have the crust on the top and bottom. You can make your own, or not any at all, or do it the easy way and buy them already made like we do. If you just want to have the top crust, then these should work fine. I wouldn't call it easy.
  8. I have one my family loves. I always use the already made pie crusts. I also get a rotisserie chicken from the grocery store, and pull the chicken off the bones. Make the filling with butter, flower and chicken broth. Add a can of chicken noodle soup, some mixed veggies, plus I add 1/2 can of corn. Mix it all together. I always make 2 at a time. I pour the mixture into 2 deep pie crusts, and cover them with the regular pie crusts. My daughter especially LOVES this. When school is in, she wants me to make these and keep them on hand at all times. She puts some in a co
  9. Man, someone must live a miserable life! Seriously dude.... Just sayin... There is another thread on here I think you may need to see. It's titled rent a friend.
  10. So who the hell dug up the bodies and helped her get them back home?
  11. They are switching over to the swat channel now.
  12. OK. I am hearing a little now. something about line disconnecting, and student sticking his head out of room 407. Doesn't sound like it is from the drill.
  13. There is an emergency drill taking place at Moses this morning. Could you be hearing anything from that? I just turned it on, but not hearing anything yet.
  14. My daughter had to do the opposite for school this year. Her assignment was to write her older self a letter. She was to speak of the past, the present, and what she hopes for the future. Her teacher is supposed to mail them to the students in 10yrs I think. She told me she put that I am her best friend. Not sure if she was just trying to earn some brownie points on that one or not. And not sure if she is feeling that way this morning.
  15. I have a sister living in Indianapolis now. Where I lived, it was called The Grove. It's kinda like the big chicken here, where every one knew where the grove was, and gave directions from it. There were large sidewalks on both sides of EVERY road, inside or out of the subdivision. The elementary school was right across from the entrance of the grove and was 6 blocks from my house. Huge field and play ground there too. On windy days, I think all of Terre Haute was there flying kites. The school principal and most teachers from that school lived in the grove too. We also had a st
  16. What part of Indiana? I was in Terre Haute. And we were the same, but kick the can was our all time favorite, and we didn't walk to the library to get books, we walked to Dairy Queen for a Peanut Buster. Just a funny little story: My best friend and I each had a little sister who wanted to tag along. They did not live in our subdivision, so they only came on weekends. The friend and I would always suggest playing hide and seek. We would tell them to go and hide and we would search for them. Once they went to hide, she and I would take off running the 6 blocks to Dairy Queen,
  17. This is true. Most of those times I talked kinda ended in 1982-83 when I moved here. I was 13. spent my summers at the neighborhood pool or Six Flags with my brother and his friends who were older. One of those frieds "found" me one of those summers too . Funny thing is, he just came and spent the weekend with me and my family for the 4th, 26 yrs later. I guess I made a lasting impression. OK. I better stop now.
  18. Personally, I group up in Indiana, and spent most of my time outside playing "Kick the Can" or Ghost in the Graveyard, Kickball, Capture the Flag, or riding bikes, until....... the street lights came on. Didn't we all have to be inside at the same time? But in my house, we had one television, and I was one of 5 kids in the house. It just wasn't worth the fight.
  19. OOoh yea! That was a big one between my friends and I.
  20. So, THOUGHTS spent A LOT of time playing video games.
  21. I loved going to the driving range with my daddy, and getting a grape soda in a glass bottle that we had to turn back in after drinking it. Or going to the country store and getting the flavored stick candies for a nickle each. And my first car at 16, was a 66 Mustang with the original 8-track still in it. It came with about 5 or 6 of them. I don't remember what they all were, but I do remember KC and the Sunshine Band and REO Speedwagon, and I want to say Journey also.
