  1. Can't wait to see the pictures...When it snowed in '89 we stayed close to home since we knew no one would know how to drive and I wasn't in the mood for a wreck. Didn't get to see how the rest of the city looked, but if my Granny's backyard was any indication, it was BEAUTIFUL...
  2. Yes, Savannah is forecast to get its first snow since Christmas 1989. Please take lots of pictures! My poor mom, who is probably the most cold natured person on the planet, has been in Dayton for raceweek and did not know about Savannah being expected to get snow until I called her today. She is NOT happy I, on the other hand, say bring it on!!!!
  3. It either needs to be warm enough for the beach, or it needs to snow!
  4. LOL...it's a very small world!
  5. A while back there was a thread about where people graduated from and when...when I said something about having been there, someone asked if you had sang the national anthem
  6. Did that once...the night before I graduated from Georgia Southern, on I-16 coming back from my cousin's high school graduation (which, coincidentally, was also Caroline Elzabeth's high school graduation!). Was about to graduate with no job, no prospects, boyfriend dumped me 2 days earlier, when the policeman told me how fast I was going, I completely LOST it and started bawling and babbling about how horrible things were...somehow, I managed to only get a warning. I think the poor man was actually scared to give me the ticket.
  7. pfftt..I had lunch duty today. Outside. Admin sees me freezing and says "you should wear longjohns or something". I said "I am. YOU should wear longjohns Friday and do this duty for me. I will be happy to take your duty in the warm cafeteria " He thinks I was kidding, I'm not. I doubt my feet will be thawed out by then, anyway...
  8. Weekend snow is wasted snow Some real snow would be absolutely beautiful, and it's great to see the kids enjoy it...
  9. no kidding, that guy looked like he kicked on his afterburners! I really could have cared less who won the game, but I can't imagine anyone not being happy for the Saints and for their FANS, they've been waiting for this one for a long time
  10. Congratulations on the marriage and the move! I am jealous since Savannah is home and I really want to move back there! If you don't mind me asking, what firm is she going to be working with? (Just curious, I worked for a few different firms before I moved away...)
  11. Started out at Cliograd. First used it when I was working on my master's in history (Clio is the muse of history). Didn't finish the master's, but I love history, the older & dustier, the better Later shortened it to Clio... and NO, I do NOT give readings!!!!!!!!!
  12. DXBF lives in Roanoke, says he's had about all the family togetherness he can stand, his 13 year old stepson is actually talking about how much he can't wait to get back to school and his 4 year old, well, imagine how a healthy, VERY energetic 4 year old is after being stuck in the house for almost a week
  13. Joined May 2006 when decided to buy a house in Paulding. Managed to lurk under the radar until mid 2008, when somebody decided to start calling me out (and I am very grateful ) Addict? no. Feel lost when I don't check in for a couple of days? absolutely!
  14. Not so sure about the whole flash mob (not a big fan of crowds, to put it mildly), but that video shows Lincoln High Street in Lincoln, England (FAVORITE.CITY.ON.THE.PLANET!!!)
  15. god...thats it considered by many to be the reincarnation of the lord Ashlea saved the world from the apocalypse an Ashlea is usually a female who is a bit nutty. They usually have stories that can associate bodily fluids and puppies. Insatiable sexual appetite usually at the expense of young track stars. That Ashlea just seduced me with her nuttiness, and robbed me of my innocence My mom always told me I was unique & special
  16. Why do they fight? - guys - girls - somebody said something somebody didn't like / somebody looked at somebody / yadda yadda yadda - street cred - gangs / gang initiation (yep, I said it. they are EVERYWHERE, like it or not) - because they are morons Scheduled fights? Heck yeah, several years back, we had the ultimate scheduled fight at the school I teach at. Kids ENROLLED in school to be there for it. I am not kidding. Ended up one kid got scraped with a pocket knife (instead of being stabbed in the back, which was the intention). It is fondly referred to as the "St. Valentine's
  17. It's not just PCHS, or even just Paulding County. The Cobb high school I teach at has 22 kids OSS right now for fighting just last week. Have already had 2 or 3 fights this week
  18. Sounds like Casbah, on Broughton Street, down the street from Leopold's. LOVE LOVE LOVE me some Leopold's Il Pasticcio on Broughton Street is incredible, too... While you're in City Market, Express Cafe & Bakery on Barnard St (between Broughton & Congress Streets) is a great place for lunch. It's one of the places I make sure I go EVERY time I am home...everything is fresh & super yummy
