That's been a weird situation. Initially they had every news team and every agency on 10th street 'investigating'. And past that first night, I haven't heard anything much about it. Very odd! -

I live in New Hope and the roads around here are just wet. Most of the roofs are covered with either ice or snow and a little has accumulated on the grass and dirt, but the roads are fine, at least where I am. I wouldn't be too worried about getting to the appt, but it may be a little hairy getting home. Good luck and be careful.

Talk about painting with a wide brush, do you never stop? 'Layman cannot see the reality of the situation', 'Everyone thinks sociopaths are cut/slash crazies'. Everyone? REALLY? I think that you may have taken one too many pages from the 'alienation' handbook, because with continued comments like those, you're alienating the very people you're trying to convince. -

I don't mind the weather as long as we have power. Hubby has packed to go to work for 7 days and GPC has crews coming from other divisions and are already staging them in all the different areas that are predicted to be affected. This isn't new to either of us, I just want EVERYONE to be safe. I've always told him that I'd never be without power because he was giving me karma by working out in the weather and so far, I never have been, even during snow and ice. So, if you live in my neck of the woods, your chances are higher than normal not to lose po

I did choose a recipe with buttermilk and vinegar. And they were out of the pre-made ones at Kroger today...........I checked! Heck, if the weather is as bad as they say, he may or may not even be home by Friday so I'll have time to check again at Kroger if mine don't turn out too good. Problem is, is that I don't like red velvet cake, so I won't be tasting them anyway.

CVS has batteries buy one get one free on all sizes. We have flashlights that use AAA, AA and D and they had them all this afternoon. Remember matches too and if you have electric candles have them handy just in case. Charge your cell phones and have your car charger handy just in case you need to charge your phone while sitting in the car. Charge your tablets, camera batteries and rechargable lanterns. We have also charged both of our portable DVD players so the kids will have a movie or two to keep them occupied. Charge any and everything you can. Hubby said that I looked like a

I just got back from getting all of the ingredients and between that and the fancy box I got to put them in, I should have gone to a schmancy bakery and bought him some. Maybe, they'll be the best red velvet cupcakes EVER. Yea........I doubt it!! HAHA!!

I just got the call that PC is cancelling any activities after 6:00pm tonite. I'm still of the mind 'better to be safe than sorry'. I do have to admit though that I don't work, so getting kids home or having to stay at home with them isn't a hardship for me. Believe me, I'm thankful for that! And also, we have enough people around here that someone is always around to step in and help whenever needed, there really are perks in having a house full of people.

The pictures in my head that this topic headline caused look NOTHING like the above picture!! HAHAHA!!

I want to make Hubby red velvet cupcakes for Valentines day and I have been looking online for recipes, but good grief, there are 50 different recipes. Some call for a lot of cocoa, some call for a teaspoon. Some call for buttermilk and vinegar, some call for sour cream and sweet milk. One bottle of food coloring, 2 bottles of food coloring, and so on. YIKES! Any advice is greatly appreciated!!!

Soup, chili and anything else I can make on the cook top of the gas stove. Sandwiches too. I love sandwiches, I could eat them for every meal........Hubby? Not so much, but if the weather is bad he won't be home anyway, so I won't have to worry about that.

Good news!!! My arm didn't fall off, it's amazing what antibiotics will do. It's a spider bite of some kind and it's crazy to me that something SOOO small can cause such an issue. I'm just thankful that one of the many babies at our house (2-12) didn't get bitten. Hubby is going to be spraying for insect this weekend!! Thank y'all for your concern, it really does mean a lot!

I think I'll head to urgent care, it looks like a tiny raised volcano now and I don't like it. And I like it for your friends to have all of their limbs as well.

The redness hasn't spread anymore, but the hole is a little bigger. I called our insurance nurse line at 4:30 this morning and she said to keep it clean and if there is no change, it should be OK. But if the blister comes back more than 2 more times or the redness spreads to go to the ER. So far, so good. Thank y'all for caring!
