If you're not doing heroin in the first place, laced or not, it won't kill you. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that.

Airport discussed at Tuesday's commission meeting

Yes, you're right about the tax dollars. I was just thinking about all of the people who are passionately opposed because of their proximity to the airport. I just hope that people can look past this new smoke screen and get an outcome that everyone can live with. It's a low blow if you ask me, 'OOOHHHH, we're in danger because of the people fighting the airport, they don't care about the safety of PC residents'. What a load. -
Airport discussed at Tuesday's commission meeting

I have no dog in this fight because I live nowhere near the airport, but it does seem odd that the firehouse and 911 issue is just coming up now. Is someone trying to shift the focus of the lawsuit by scaring the public into thinking that PC is somehow going to be less safe because of all the delays in the continuation of the airport expansion which now includes a fire station and the 911 center? -
It almost seems like creativity and talent breeds instability and angst in a lot of people. When you look at the many talented people who have caused their own demise by their destructive behavior, you have to wonder if it's a 'thing'. It's sad.

I have to have the TV on just for the noise. It can be on almost anything except sports and I may not look at the screen for hours, but I like to hear it.

Budweiser 'Puppy Love' was my favorite, hands down.

Honestly, the only experience I've had with surround sound is at other peoples homes while a party is trying to go on. It's really hard to sing Happy Birthday to anyone while the windows and walls are shaking and people are yelling at a sporting event. It was too hectic for me, but under different circumstances it may be a better experience. But one day, if he really wants it, he'll get it because he doesn't ask for much.

I'm excited that the Seahawks won and during at the news conference their coach should have said, 'And we'd like to thank Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos for handing us this victory on a silver platter'. They totally blew it.

That's how we were until they started to break. My daughter had a 27" from the Goodwill that we got for $3.94 until the sound went on it and she got a 32" flat screen we got for $98.00 at a black Friday sale at Walmart.

HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

I H-A-T-E big speakers and surround sound. I'll have to put my foot down on that one............at least that's what I'm saying now!

It's also weird to me because he's not the guy who has to have the newest, fancy electronic on the market. Heck, he still has a flip phone. But he works hard and I guess once in a blue moon he deserves something he simply wants. If there's a picture and sound on a tv, any tv, I'm good.

Thank you, .

I missed that, who was this guy???

We had a perfectly fine 32" flat screen in an entertainment center that I have loved since 1997. We have 15' ceilings and this giant piece of furniture took up a good chunk of wall space and helped fill the room. But NOOOOOOOO, Hubby wanted a bigger TV, so for Christmas, I got him a 50". WOOHOO, a huge TV. We just put it up yesterday because we had to change the entire living room around by getting the entertainment center out, getting another piece of furniture to put the DVD player, XBOX, etc. on, get a wall mount, hang the TV and so on. It's cool, I admit, but this has been up for

I'm about to blaspheme, but I can't stand Beyonce', not even a little, but I sure don't knock those who do, she's a force to be reckoned with.

My MIL physically attacked me as I was trying to get her to Ridgeview where Hubby was meeting us. None of his brothers or sister 'could make it', so there I was, being whacked by an old lady insisting that I was trying to steal all of her money. When I finally got her there (and what a ride that was), her dr said that she was psychotonic because of the extended abuse of heavy duty pain killers. She told him and us that she would not go to rehab again and boy, it was ON then. She stayed. Then after a year of being clean, she started again and we cut tie

You're right. As a parent, you think you could likely deal with an addicted child, but not ever a parent. Ultimately, that addicted parent becomes the child because of the way you are forced to deal with them. And being a good southern girl, it's hard to put your foot down to an elder, especially a parent. And being thrust into that situation is horrible, horrible, horrible considering that no one else will do anything to help. They're quick to offer an opinion but not a solution and certainly not if they have to try and implement it. That's where the int

I missed that!!! Go Joe!! OMG, I just looked it up and I think he looks FAB! I love his coat and PETA could kiss my behind.

But the problem with not understanding it also makes makes me very intolerant, which makes me seem like an a$$ sometimes and I'm not an a$$ and am the most compassionate, caring person you'd ever want to know. My MIL is an alcoholic and Rx drug addict. After 4 stints in rehab and losing half of her family, she seems to have finally gotten a handle on it at 73 years old. But all the time she wasted with her kids and grandkids and the hurt and bad feelings and anger she caused, is hard to deal with. It's like we're always waiting for the other shoe to fall

Love the game too. My team is W-I-N-N-I-N-G!!!! WOOHOO!!!!!!!!!!!

I loved it. There have been sooo many bad halftime shows of late, I was surprised when I actually sat down to watch it. Maybe when you have very low expectations, something that is pretty good seems a lot better. Bruno Mars is old school, he really sings and acts like he has some class. That, compared to grill wearing, pants at your knees, hat sideways, low lifes, it's a refreshing change in the music industry. But that's just me.

Was he really clean for 23 years? What on earth would possess you to do heroine in the first place, but then to do it after a supposed 23 year break? I don't get it.

Garbage Company Decides to Wait for Next Week
dawneykids replied to AustinPlantation's topic in RECENT TOPICS
One of the problems SIL ran into on Friday and Saturday was people not being able to get their cans down to the street because their driveways were steep and still icy.
