  1. So, if I follow some of the vehement opinions on here, the next time I see a young black kid walking in my cul-de-sac, with a hoodie pulled up on his head, eating Skittles, I can get my gun, pursue him, confront him and shoot him in the chest? If someone feels threatened it should be a cold day in He!! before you pursue that threat as it runs away. This guy is suffering from 'short man syndrome' on too many levels. He was a hot head with a gun that pursued an unarmed kid and killed him. And everything I have read about the 'stand your ground' law pertains to your home and property,
  2. That is ridiculous! So we need to blame the victim because they didn't stop the act committed against them, are you serious? Someone is assaulted and because they didn't or weren't able to stop the criminal, then they 'allowed' it to happen? I hope you're never on a jury for a rapist. And what do you have to say to the parents of kids who committed suicide because bulling had become so intolerable? 'Sorry your kid killed himself, but if he hadn't allowed it to happen, he wouldn't have been bullied'?
  3. Our a/c went out last week and we have been trying to get someone out to look at it since Wednesday. Finally yesterday, I nixed the idea of the big company that I couldn't get here and went with my son-in-laws suggestion of a smaller company he knew of. He made a call to Pro Air Tech at 5:30 and they were here within the hour. The problem, a broken capacitor, was replaced in about 10 minutes and the house began to cool off almost immediately. Thanks Pro Air for great service and the reasonable price!!!! Oh yea, and the cool house!
  4. After reading these posts and shedding tears for the parents and children, I'm not so concerned anymore that 4th grader didn't get all of his dirty clothes up yesterday like I asked him to. I can't imagine the grief and I'm sending good wishes to everyone.
  5. A 'vindictive bitch'? Seriously??!! Her husband murdered an innocent man and destroyed 2 families and she's a 'vindictive bitch'? WOW! Well, add me to that list because you can bet your behind I'd make him as miserable as I possibly could and make sure he had NOTHING. EVER.
  6. You can't shoot people who are trying to get away from you. Don't get me wrong, I'm not against guns OR dropping someone if they are a threat. This kid didn't seem to be a threat to anyone except in the mind of an over zealous killer.
  7. Old Navy a REAL fabric store a book store Outback......YUM!
  8. Thats my question too? If this kid wasn't threatening anyone, especially the gun wielding murderer, why the he!! did he approach him and shoot him? Mr. Zimmerman must be so proud that he protected his community from an innocent teenage boy visiting his family.
  9. Where exactly is she going to be going? You do realize that the article is about the convicted murderers wife, not the wife of the victim.
  10. What kind of service do you want?
  11. I know it's hard sometimes to be labeled as you said you were, but you were right on point with everything you said, we'd all be lying if we said differently. This is a tough, sad situation for all involved.
  12. Bless your heart, I'm exhausted just reading this topic. I have no answer for you, I wish I did, but if he is like this now, what will it be like when he is a teenager? Honestly, I'd be afraid for him as well as for the rest of my family. I pray that you can get the help he, that you all, need and that you will find peace no matter what has to be done.
  13. If this is Appliance Mart in Lithia Springs, I've bought 3 new appliances from them in the last eight months and luckily, have been VERY pleased with everything.
  14. You are such a cool lady. You have been through so much and yet you are one of the sweetest, most positive people I have ever met.
  15. It sucks when a tragic, sudden incident is what it takes for you to put your life into perspective. I know, I've been there. We were rockin' along and my sister died suddenly and in 20 minutes our lives were changed forever, just like you said. Since then, I have tried to be more aware of how fortunate I (we) really are. Bad things shouldn't have to happen to others for us to be thankful and I'm as guilty of it as anybody else. I hope that your friend makes a full recovery, prayers sent.
  16. We were in the car and heard this sorry POS 'apologize' for this 'tragedy'. Tragedy my behind, a tragedy is a car accident or a heart attack, not when you commit premeditated murder and then try to convince people you are insane. If you are insane, you don't rent a van, get a disguise and stalk your prey. Crazy, maybe, but insane isn't the same thing. Thankfully, the jury at least found him guilty on some level. No. Evil, yes.
  17. Are you serious? WOW!
  18. I'm blowing their opinion off because I know Luke and I know how he does business AND how he treats and doesn't treat animals. I'm also curious to know if this mysterious person PM'ed everyone else who recommended them as well.
  19. We had a senior courtyard where the doors opened inward. Over a weekend, someone climbed over the school into the courtyard and bricked over the doors about halfway up and then put little tiny pigs in the courtyard. It really was funny. The school wasn't damaged because they didn't actually adhere the brick to the doors, so admin was able to just knock it over and we had a teacher who lived in PC, WAAAAAAY before I'd even heard of it, and he took the piggies home with him.
  20. I just received a PM from someone with 0 posts on here saying that Tender Loving Pet Grooming had abused their dog, which I find very hard to believe and then highly recommending someone else also mentioned in this thread. It seems suspect to me that if they can send a PM that they won't comment in the thread itself, especially with absolutely no posts on this board at all. HHHHMMMMMMM?????
