  1. Then join the Navy. Thank you! Excellent post! +1000
  2. Then you need to meet my husband. ALL union employees ARE NOT slackers. I addition, I'm certain that there are plenty of NON union workers that do the least they can to keep their jobs.
  3. There is a new variety store next to the Endless Yard Sale, I got heavy duty Wilton cake pans there yesterday for $2.99 to $4.99 each. They had every kind of pan you could think of. They also have lots of cleaning stuff and toiletries. It was very neat and well organized. I liked it.
  4. Lasagna, garlic bread and salad. Cooking now.
  5. I have no idea. I've had several jobs and I doubt that I've had more than 20 phone calls combined with bosses and co-workers. Something is rotten in Denmark.
  6. I saw today that Hemy and the wife had had phone contact almost 1500 times in a few months. I don't even talk to Hubby or my kids that much. WTH?! Very suspect. I didn't think at first that she was having an affair with this guy, but I've think changed my mind.
  7. I thought I heard that on WSB this afternoon and was certain that had not heard right. What is wrong with these people, who falls asleep while on a jury, especially one of this magnitude?
  8. Agree 100%. I got my last pair of tennis shoes there about 6 months ago, they were on sale $32.99 down from the regular price of $46.99, with a coupon I got them for $22.99 plus tax. I went to get the same shoes last week and their new low price was $39.99. How is it better for me as the consumer to pay $18.00 more for the same pair of shoes? I went across the street to Kohls, with the sale price, coupon and Kohls cash, I got the same brand of shoes, almost exactly the same for $18.79 plus tax. Guess where I'm going to go first the next time I need something? Not JCPenney that's for sure
  9. I'm sorry, but there is more to this story than they are telling. IMO!
  10. I was on a jury where the 'mother' was suing her ex husband for more child support. When she left the marriage, she had a 2 year old van that was paid for, a home with a $600.00 mortgage payment and she had her kids in ASP so she could work. A month after she left, with the paid for van, she traded it on a Shelby Mustang, with a $700.00 a month payment in addition to another $320.00 per month for insurance and moved to an $1100.00 a month apartment. She tried to convince the court that she was paying $85.00 dollars a week, per child, for ASP. In fact, at the time, ASP was $5.00 per day
  11. Why do you think they are texting patient info just because they are texting all the time? I seriously doubt a dr would be texting a patient himself, but would have someone else do it, IF that is what they are doing.
  12. Yes, he absolutely can make that choice. He was in Florida working after hurricane Andrew, my grandfather died and his employer had a plane waiting on him at the airport to come home if I said he needed to. I wanted him home, but not just because of my grandfather, so I told him to stay and do his job. When his father was dying of cancer, they made certain he had time to spend with his dad and when he died, there was no issue as to him taking time off. When my sister died, he was out for almost 2 weeks with me and he was told to take what time he needed to get me back on my feet. Maybe i
  13. Yes, family to all of the above.
  14. Me either......he tried to get me to buy a fancy schmancy, front load, upright, blah, blah, blah the day after Thanksgiving because there were several 'great deals' to be had. No way, hate 'em, don't want 'em. I just like plain old stuff that works. I KNOW, we've had the same thing happen too!
  15. I didn't even think of that. We normally always pay cash and thats what I did today. I did get a good deal at Appliance Mart on Thornton rd, it was the model I picked out at Lowes and it was $260.00 less because they only had white, which was fine. It's a top load with no center agitator, I really like it.
  16. ......when you get a little extra money in your checking account???? My 12 year old washer gave up the ghost last night and after researching service call fees, etc., Hubby told me just to go get a new one. So, now I have a new washer and no money, but like he said, 'We have it right now and the washer is 12 years old. Hush and go buy one'.
  17. I H-A-T-E that commercial and that kid. Are we supposed to think shes cute? She's just rude and needs a spanking.
  18. Exactly! We were at a restaurant with my BIL and SIL, together we had 5 kids, 3 in high chairs. As we were eating dessert an older gentleman and his wife were leaving and they stopped and told us what a pleasure it had been to watch our family eat because our kids were so well behaved, I felt like I had won the lottery. I was the crazy woman crawling around on the floor picking up after my little ones ate if they made a mess. I WOULD NEVER leave it for the server to clean up.
  19. Especially the ones living in New Jersey who are being slapped in the face by it. +1000 You get +1000 too.
  20. Everyone I have ever dealt with in there has been very nice. I'll keep an eye out for him next time.
  21. Internet usually. I hate to say that because I'm VERY old school, but I can't remember the last time I used the actual Yellow Page. I do like having it though, I think it's some kind of weird comfort thing for me.
