  1. A school prank my a$$. Once again, parents are bringing home the fact that there are no consequences for bad behavior. 'Poor little Johnny shouldn't be in trouble for a little ole prank'. What if that 'prank' had been acted out at their home, on their brick, concrete and vehicles? If little Johnny had done it I guess it would be OK, just not any other juvenile delinquent.
  2. That sounds right. We were having trouble with my sons ipod Shuffle and we took it to the Avenues instead of the big Apple store in Atlanta and they fixed it, smiled and said 'have a nice day.
  3. I'm conflicted on this one. My knee jerk reaction is 'NO WAY'. But if it helps a close family member find closure on some level, then so be it. 'Close family member' being the operative words here. Thats not to say that any Joe visitor with a camera sound be snapping pics for their own reasons, that could become sticky real fast and very unwelcome.
  4. I have the perfect man, so it would be eating anything for me.
  5. Yea, thats pretty much out the window. Except for all who believe that he's a hero and did nothing wrong, they'll have a great explanation as to why there is no blood or swelling.
  6. Me too, he's not bruised, bleeding or swollen. Must have been a miracle in the police car on the way over.
  7. Hubby drilled in my head a long time ago to think for myself and for the most part I don't believe anything anyone says without checking things out for myself. And believe me, depending on what crowd you're with at the time, thinking for yourself if often not appreciated by the masses. It's easier for people to follow along and NOT think for themselves. YEA.................thats not me.
  8. I know how you feel. My son-in-law applied for a job with the city of Atlanta on January 2. He has been sent email after email and gotten several calls telling him the process is just slow. He finally took a drivers test 5 weeks ago, supplied his driving record 3 weeks ago, sent a copy of his high school diploma 1 week ago and was told all he needed to do now was take a drug test and get a new DOT card and he'd be all set. Maybe good things really do come to those who wait. Good luck and I hope you hear soon!
  9. Who's life was he saving? I've never heard of anyone getting stoned to death with Skittles, maybe I just need to get out more. And since when can you take action against someone because you THINK they are going to do something in the future? 'Well, I thought he was going to commit murder or robbery, so I killed him'. There is ABSOLUTELY no evidence that this kid had done anything WRONG or was planning to. But I guess to some, the fact that he MAY have done something is grounds for him to be gunned down by a gun toting neighborhood watchman looking for trouble. It's funny because I w
  10. I don't need to be, I'm not planning on gunning them down.
  11. So, if children come to visit a parent, they are suspicious and don't belong in the neighborhood? Wow. I'll be sure to warn my kids and their husbands not to buy candy or a drink and certainly not to wear a hoodie they next time they come over, I'd hate for an upstanding, law abiding, gun toting neighborhood watchman to shoot them as they were walking up to the house.
  12. Regardless of the right or wrong of the shooting, the fact that there is 'bounty' on Zimmermans head is way past wrong. He!!, people want to kill him anyway and for these idiot Black Panthers to offer ANY amount of money for a bounty, is criminal in itself.
  13. A man with a gun who had been following him. We will never know if the kid thought he was in danger from a suspicious guy will we? His father lived there, so it was his neighborhood as far as I'm concerned. His father lived there, so it was his neighborhood as far as I'm concerned.
  14. How is eating Skittles and drinking tea in your own neighborhood, where you have the right to be, and wearing a hoodie suspicious exactly? Zimmerman 'suspected' him because he was a black teen. If it had been a white boy, NOTHING would have come of this. It's good to know that when everyone with a gun starts shooting anyone that they deem suspicious, that no arrests will be made and we can all go on our merry way.
  15. No, but it certainly doesn't mean it did either. I'd be saying whatever I had to to the cops as I was standing over an unarmed kid I had just shot.
  16. My post clearly said that those ARE NOT reasons to kill someone.
  17. THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!! :clapping: :clapping: :clapping: But this kid had the right to be where he was just as this 'law' says Zimmerman did. I'll never believe that roaming the streets with a loaded gun, looking for what you think is a shady character, is protecting your property, it's looking for trouble and Zimmerman made sure he found it.
  18. But this kid hadn't broken into ANYTHING, he was WALKING DOWN THE STREET. If it's OK to shoot anybody walking down the street that you don't like the looks of because of this 'law', then we're all in trouble.
  19. Who, besides Zimmerman, reported that this kid was 'staring at houses'? That's illegal and I can kill people for it? I guess when the tax appraiser was in the road in front of my house today, before he identified himself, WITH a hoodie on, I should have popped a cap in him because he was staring at houses in the neighborhood? Shooting birds at a camera and being suspended from school are still not , I repeat.....NOT valid reasons for anyone to be shot down in the street like a dog and Zimmerman didn't know these facts anyway. He's a trigger happy killer, roaming the streets with a loaded g
  20. I find it hard to believe that it is on the books ANYWHERE in CA or in any other state, that it is legal to ride between lanes of traffic and as a motorcycle, that you don't have to follows the same rules as cars and trucks on the same roads. I'm very interested in finding that in the driving laws in CA.
  21. No you didn't get it wrong, he was there visiting his father.
