Thanks y'all, this is part of my gift for my 50th b'day. Hubby told me to pick a place to go, any place. I originally chose Niagra Falls and Toronto. He was thinking more along the lines of Paris, London, Scotland or Australia, but I don't love to travel and I hate to fly, so this seems to be a happy medium for both if us. I can't wait and am really excited for this new adventure.

We've never been on a cruise and have booked one for October and have a few questions. Are there laundry facilities for you to do your own laundry or does it have to been done by the crew? According to the Carnival site, a tip of $11.50 per person, per day is added automatically to your credit card, are tips expected beyond that? I do know we need to tip porters per bag. My grandparents were southern to the bone and it was breakfast, dinner (lunch) and supper. Nanny used to cook dinner (lunch), we'd eat and instead of putting everything up, she'd cover it with a table cloth until it was time for supper. She'd uncover it and we'd eat once again. With no A/C I'm surprised that no one ever got sick from that action. Or is refrigeration really over rated?

I like eating between 7:30 and 8:00. But with kids going to school that go to bed between 8:30 and 9:30, we try no later than 6:30.

For anyone who has no experience with hospice and thinks it may be in their future for one reason or another, this would be a great opportunity to learn the facts. We had no clue how it worked when Hubbys dad went into hospice 5 years ago and as awful as it was having him die, the hospice experience couldn't have been better and more comforting. They were so accommodating, kind and they bent over backwards to make his last days as comfortable as they could possibly be. Good luck and best wishes to anyone who attends.

There is indeed a camera at Abby Road. My niece took my sister to London and Paris for her 50th birthday in 2005 and at the time we still had dial up internet service. Well, my sister called to tell me about the camera and that they were going to go there at a certain time and to watch for them. I had the phone tied up for 4 hours looking for them and lo and behold, much later than planned, there they were as plain as day. OMG, it was soooo cool!!! And the best part was when they were waving at the camera, at me, I actually waved back excitedly like they could see me!! :wacko: :lol:

2 sure sounds better than 7. If I need to do this in the future, I'll start with 2 or 3 and see what happens. I'd hate to accidentally kill her while trying to cure her. Glad your pup is better!

Mugsie, our sweet girl came in one morning and had HUGE knots all over her. Apparently she had gotten into a fight with a wasps nest and lost big time. By the time we got her to the vet her eyes were swelled closed, she was in bad shape. Dr. Leathers at New Hope Animal Hospital gave her a shot of something similar to Benadryl and she was fine almost immediately. But he did tell me that I could have given her over the counter Benadryl myself and she would have been fine. She weighs about 60 lbs and he said 6 or 7 would have been fine. I liked her a long, long time ago, but the more famous she became and the more money she had, she seemed to lose sight of the fact that most people aren't in her shoes. In the few years before her show went off he air, instead of letting someone tell their story, she would make their story about her somehow. I don't know, she just started rubbing me the wrong way. They have 2 outdoor pools, a lazy river, game room, laundry facilities, an indoor pool, an onsite restaurant and ice cream shop and it's close to everything without being right downtown. I just called the number and asked if they were closing and she said, 'Yes mam, at 10:00pm'. I clarified about forever closing and she said absolutely not.

How scary is that?? He's normally not alone with anyone and there are only 2 families he's allowed to go with anywhere or to spend the night at their house. We were in Florida in June and there were 2 kids who consistently wanted to come to our condo and hang out, they even asked to go to town with us on 2 occasions. They kept saying, 'Oh, our parents don't mind'. They didn't know us from Adam, Hubby or I or both, could have been raping, murdering fiends and these parents would have had no clue what we had done with their kids. It was crazy.

For some reason the word 'a$$hat' keeps coming to mind. HHHMMMMM!!!! Seriously, we've had better TROLLS than you on here, ya' might want to give it up.
