  1. There's still a Fred's in Austell. An open one I mean!
  2. So, William, Kate, the Queen, Prince Phillip and all the othe royals have looked down on you? Are you sure they even know who you are? This rant of yours is on the verge point of being ridiculous.
  3. Unless you haven't noticed, I'm not the only one asking why you seem so offended by what other people do with their time, royal watching or not.
  4. Thank you for summing up what I've been trying to write for 10 minutes! It's not illegal to be interested in the royals and who cares if someone understands it or not. GEEEZ, are you able to actually stand up straight with that huge chip on your shoulder? Whats your problem and why do you care?
  5. It's beyond me that an investor hasn't bought this, repaired it and reopened it a long time ago. There is money at Sun Valley and I hope that these two business men are able to go forward with their plan.
  6. Well then he and his posse are really stupid because you can't overturn a not guilty verdict. And when id the last time you heard of anyone knocking down the doors at a Stevie Wonder concert?
  7. A TV show trying to garner ratings by only telling what will sound good in a news bite???? Who knew? The day that any media outlet tells the WHOLE truth will be the day that the earth stops spinning. Contrary to popular belief, not all elders deserve respect. I have taught my kids to respect everyone until they prove they don't deserve it, I don't care how old you are.
  8. I'm sure law abiding people in Chicago do have guns, they just don't use them in a commission of a crime. We have 2 safes full of guns, long guns and hand guns, and NOT once have we ever used them while choosing to commit a crime. Weird, huh!? T-H-A-N-K Y-O-U!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :clapping: I've been poor in my lifetime, so poor my mother didn't know where our next meal was coming from and she never robbed or killed anyone to feed us. It's a piss poor excuse for really bad CHOSEN behavior.
  9. Hubby is very insistent that middleschooler is going to college. And I asked him the other day, 'Why'? The way things are now, a college degree doesn't guarantee any kind of job and even if you get one, it could pay much less than a skilled labor job. A plumber, lineman, electrician, etc., will always have a job. Always. Unless he wants to be something in the medical profession, a degree doesn't mean a job and a good living.
  10. Yea and that's just sad. Companies are 'laying off' or firing old timers with experience to hire a kid for $13,000 a year. Not only do the people with experience get the shaft, but so often, the consumers do too. A real great business plan.
  11. I guess just about everybody has a glass in the trash bag story. You just don't think about getting injured doing something so ordinary. I love power tools, nailers, drills, saber saws, etc., but saws that spin and routers scare me to death. Hubby got me a really nice router and table with a light for Christmas one year because that's what I had asked for. I've never used it, I'm terrified of it. Of cours3e, he's done some pretty cool stuff with it and knock wood, no injuries yet.
  12. Yep, you're right. Also, one thing I love is when Hubby goes out on a call when someones power is on the fritz and the people in need treat him like a lesser species because he a 'blue collar' worker. The best part is, is that more often then not, many of these people probably make a third or less than what he makes. People don't realize that his job can pay, with overtime, well over 6 figures and he works all the OT he can get. I will say that most people are thankful for his expertise, which that's exactly what it is, when their lights pop back on after being in the dark for however lon
  13. I do the same thing, but guess who put the glass in the bag? Hubby. And he didn't have on shoes which he always does when he took it out. He gets onto us for going barefoot all the time and honestly, the one time he takes out the trash barefoot, BAM! Or slice!
  14. Hubby was taking the trash out last night and there was a broken glass in the bag. It ran across the top of his pinky toe, sliced it to the bone and had to get 6 stitches. A huge shout out to Paulding hospital who had us in and out in less than 2 hours. He's out of work til Monday because he can't wear a shoe and he feels really stupid!
  15. I agree with you. And the problem has been fixed. It took most of the day yesterday, but they now have 16' clearance. Grand opening is set for today at 12. I still think it's funny that this was never reported, heck, NOTHING is kept secret. But we did get free passes. WOOHOO!!
  16. NEVER. It NEVER became a word. People drive me crazy using it and others like irregardless. SERIOUSLY IRREGARDLESS? NOT words people, NOT words!! Rant over!
  17. Yea, I forgot about that! I heard at 5 that opening may be delayed because of weather. Weather, schmeather.
  18. DING, DING, DING!!!!!!! We rode the one in Myrtle Beach and for 2 adults and 1 child, I think it was $42.00.
  19. No they didn't and that is EXACTLY why I DO NOT trust the media in any way, shape or form. They just now said on the news that is was expected to open as planned on Tuesday. WTH!?!?! When they showed the pics you could plainly see how close it was to the lines. One more news story not telling the truth. Who knew?!?! And as things go, this isn't even important, so what are they saying or not saying about the big things? A$$hats.
  20. Hubby just called and said the FW was 6 feet from the lines and the minimum for an amusement ride is 15'. He actually came up with a solution and said that 2 four man crews should be able to get it done tomorrow for the grand opening on Tuesday. My husband rocks, I swear!!! He said 11 Alive was filming so I'm supposed to watch the news this afternoon and look for him.
  21. No clue! And of course I called him just as he was approaching the 'scene' and he's not looking forward to breaking the news. Boy, talk about being the bad guy. This is a man who has a solution to anything related to power and this one has him stumped, they can't move the lines and I'm sure scooting the FW over isn't in the cards either. WOW, talk about the 4 p's........pi$$ poor prior planning!! His words, not mine!!!
  22. The new huge ferris wheel downtown was supposed to open today or tomorrow and Hubby has been sent to shut down operations because they have built it less than 5 feet away from the power lines. YIKES! Who didn't realize this before opening day? I told him I'd be looking for him on the news because this has been a top story for days now. I'm interested to see how this goes.
  23. Good lord, that's more food than I serve at a party!!! We need to go!
  24. I'm sorry, but some people need to be punched in the face. Anyone that would say something like that to a person in your situation is an a$$hat and they don't deserve any courtesy at all.
