What you describe in your second paragraph is basically the same plan Lockheed has had in place for there newly hired "salary" employees for the past several years. Addtionally, many Lockheed facilities such as those in in Greenville SC and Johnstown, PA are non-union and have had a similiar retirement plan for their hourly and saliary enployees since they opened.

Does employer have right to require your Facebook password?
474218 replied to zoocrew's topic in RECENT TOPICS
The only way I think your employer could ask for you FB password is if you log on FB using a company own computer! I got a FB book account because a friend I had lost track of died and his family set up a FB page in his honnor! Now when I do log on FB (which is not offten) I have invitations from my sister-in-law to join her in her "strawberry patch"? I can assure you I am not interested in her "strawberry patch" one bit!! -

How would your employer even "know" you have a Facebook account? -
Why not just take the frozen food out of the freezer and put it outside. If its below freezing outside the food will stay frozen. Last month when we got the snow I had a couple of twelve packs of Cokes in my motorhome and they froze solid. I remember a winter camping trip I took as a Boy Scout and we had to put things in the cooler to keep them from freezing

My son is a diehard Seahawk fan. When we moved here in 1990, we were in a Sports Authorty and my son say: "I guess there are a lot of Seattle fans back here, I can't find even one Seahawk jersey"? He will be in "hog heaven tonight", when he gets home from work.

"Even Ingles" means that are my least favorite of the markets I listed. While Ingles stores are clean (something that can not be said for Kroger) the way they put shopping carts full of marked down stuff right by the front door turns me off. It always looks like the stuff should be donated to a food bank.

"It is not economical to bring it up to current Kroger standards"...? When compaired to Publix, Target, Food Lion and even Ingles "Kroger's current standards" are still way behind! While I hate to see the store close, more people out of work, empty building, etc, every time I go in a Kroger's I feel like I need to go home and take a shower!

My doctor weights as much as I do, so when he tells me I am overweight, I just smile and agree with him!

How long will it be before the ACLU files a lawsuit on behalf of an openly gay soldier/airman/sailor/marine because they were passed over for a promotion that went to a stright soldier/airman/sailor/marine? IMO, Congress has just opened up a big can of worms!

I had one better than that. I was to give a presentation at a meeting of the Vice President of our company and the Vice President of one of our suppliers, going over the problems we were having with the suppliers units. Will the meeting was running really late and it looked like my manager was going to miss his tennis game. No way! He handed me his presentation said I have got to go. My speciality was flight controls and now I had to talk about fuel boost pumps? I got through it only because it was so late no one would ask me any questions, because they wanted to go home as much as I did.

I was terrified about public speaking. But then company I worked for wanted to put on a training class to train more people to do the job I was doing. So I was given a temporary promotion to the training department, not to teach the class but to teach the job to the instructor that would teach the class. Will to make the story shorter about one week before the first class the instructor I was training quit and took another job in the company. So I had one week to learn how to stand in front of a group of strangers and teach the class. I was scared to death the first couple of days but as I wen

Huh? Minor car accident, comment from at-fault driver's insurance
474218 replied to cspringe's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Several years ago I was involved in an accident at Power Springs Road and The East West Connector. The guy that hit me (in the rear) wasn't going over 5 mph, but it put a big dent in the lift gate and rear bumper cover of our van. The guy got out said it was his fault and that he would call his insurance. We exchanged all the information without ever call the police. I was on the way to a doctors appointment and he was late to a meeting. I worried about not calling the police but when I finished with the doctor and got home (no cell phone at that time) I called the mans insurance company. They -
While most Georgia drivers never pass or break into a funeral procession and even stop if they are on the opposite side of the road, I just wish they would show the same respect to Police Cars, Ambulances and Fire Trucks!

I voted for her not because of the R by her name but the D by her oppontents name. I just could not trust him since he refused to ever put his party affiliation on his web site.
